“Hey, hey, wake up already, you are a dragon, you shouldn’t sleep so much.” Silva heard someone calling out to him. His eyes flickered open slowly, and he saw Sage looking down at him.
“Huh? What happened?” Silva asked as he slowly got up, and she moved her face out of the way.

When he heard Aaron’s name, it was like something tried to pop into his mind, but he couldn’t recall what it was exactly.
He remembered sitting with Aaron, and after that, it was a general blank. Maybe that was the time he fell asleep.
“We have to start going if we are going to make good time,” Sage said.
“Yeah.” Silva responded and rose to his feet. He saw Aaron about to get on the carriage and ride it. He still had the feeling that something was not how it was supposed to be.
But he couldn’t tell exactly what it was, so he decided that he would sit beside Aaron and have a talk with him. Maybe he could figure out what happened.
So he walked up to the carriage and got on the coachman’s seat with Aaron.
“Nice to see you up,” Aaron said. Everyone got into the carriage, and Aaron resumed the journey.
“Aaron, you and I sat together yesterday, did we sleep off later?” Silva asked.
“You and I? Yeah, we sat there yesterday. I think we slept off later. Seems we were more tired than we thought,” Aaron said, his eyes still facing forward as he rode.
“Hmm, that’s weird. I am a full dragon and an evolved being at that. I could go entire months on a stretch without sleep.
I decide when I want to go to sleep, or when I stay awake. That’s just how much control I have over my body, yet somehow I fell asleep yesterday night?” Silva asked.
“Don’t bother about it too much. It’s nothing to worry about. It’s just sleep,” Aaron said, still keeping his face forward.
“Yeah, it’s just sleep,” Silva said, but his tone held disbelief. So he decided to talk to the others. He leaped from the carriage while it was moving, waited for it to pass him a little, then jumped into the back.
“You seem jumpy today,” Sage said, dropping a small pun.
“I guess,” Silva replied with a chuckle. “I have a question though. You guys cooked yesterday, right? At night,” he said.
“Yeah, we did. What about it?” Lia asked.
“Did I eat what you cooked?” Silva asked, and then all of them paused.
“I saw you seated with Aaron yesterday night, and, and, and, yeah, I think you ate,” Amber spoke up, but she struggled to remember what really happened.
‘I guess Amber is talking; no need to worry about her now. I have a different issue.’
“You said you think. What makes you think that?” Silva asked.
“Well, the pots we used were empty, the plates were stained with food, so it’s easy to say that we ate, since the number of plates matched.
I think you and Aaron went to sleep after eating,” Amber said.
“Hmm, I see. What about you all, did you eat?” Silva asked.
“Why the dumb questions?” Sage asked.
“Yes, Silva. Amber just told you about the plates. That means we all ate,” Lia said.
“So what did it taste like?” Silva asked the best question.
“Huh?” They all asked.
“Well, you see, I can’t remember what the food I ate tasted like, so I would like you guys to remind me of what it tasted like.
It might sound crazy, but I really need to know,” Silva said. The girls all stared at him for a while, and then they finally spoke, all of them speaking at the same time.
“It was fine.”
“It was meh.”
“It was tasty.”
“It was good.”
“I see,” Silva said after hearing them, and what they said proved what he was thinking. Something was definitely wrong.
“I’ll be meditating for a bit, guys. I’ll talk to you all later,” Silva said and closed his eyes. The girls looked at him with confused faces.
Immediately Silva closed his eyes, he went into the summoning plane.
“Something is not adding up. I don’t know why, but it seems that some crucial part of yesterday night is either messed up or missing.”
He telepathically called all the clones to come his way immediately, and they all arrived in seconds.
“Thank you all for coming quickly. You are all a part of me, so you already know the situation at hand. A detail from yesterday night is missing from my mind, all of them, I think.
And I don’t know why. Now we all know that it is virtually impossible for us to actually forget something. We might not pay attention to it, but it’s definitely still in our minds.
So now, why is there suddenly a gap? It feels weird and suspicious, so I want to get to the bottom of it. Does anyone have an inclination as to what happened?” Silva asked.
“We are the same as you. We know something happened, but we can’t tell what. Everything is just not there,” one clone said.
“Any ideas how to try and get something or anything back?” Silva asked while brainstorming at the same time.
“I have an idea,” one clone spoke. “If you can tell that the memories existed, that means a small fragment could not be erased from your mind.
Now you have eleven minds in total. It’s possible that the fragment left in the first mind is different from the one in the second mind.
So like a puzzle and treasure hunt, you can seek out the fragments in all the eleven minds and piece them together. It might not give you the full picture, but it might offer you a clue as to what happened, and you can start building from there,” the clone finished.
“That’s a crazy good idea,” Silva said with a bright smile.
