“True. Indeed, indeed. Little Chuxi is unrivalled. You must get first place in this time’s fighting ring competition. I will reward you if you get first place,” said Huangfu Qingjue with a smile upon hearing Ling Chuxi’s confident words.

The corner of Huangfu Qingjue’s lips twitched. He didn’t know whether to laugh or to cry. Could it be that he himself was not even as charming as a roasted sucking pig in her eyes? Forget it. This little thing only knew how to eat. Since he knew her, didn’t he already know this?

“Eh? Ah? Zhuoyi! That guy is finally here!” exclaimed Ling Chuxi happily. She stood up and immediately went to open the door. “Where is he now?”
“At the academy. He will be coming over immediately once he’s finished there. I have sent someone to pick him up.” Ling Yichen smiled. “That’s right, how was it entering the palace today? Did the emperor and Consort Li make things difficult for you?”
“No. It was nothing to worry about. Consort Li is very nice,” said Ling Chuxi happily with a shake of her head. “Since Zhuoyi is here, let’s have a big meal tonight to celebrate.”
