“Don’t be so restrained, Xia Zhouyi. Just call me Ling Chuxi.” With a smile, Ling Chuxi took out the red Blood Wolf’s egg and presented it to Xia Zhuoyi. “This is for you. Don’t refuse it. Your Uncle Zhong was the one who gave it to me as a thank you. Now, I am giving it to you. You will be a good master to this monster beast.”
Xia Zhuoyi was stunned. He never imagined that the monster beast egg was actually obtained by Uncle Zhong. Additionally, he never would have thought that Ling Chuxi would be willing to give away something so precious. “Dream on!” huffed Xia Zhuoyi upon hearing the fifth princess’ words. He immediately snatched the Blood Wolf’s egg from Ling Chuxi and cradled it in his arms. Then, he saw Ling Chuxi grinning at him. Only then did he realize that Ling Chuxi had intentionally said such things to engineer this outcome. Right then, the fifth princess made a face at him as well.
“You hateful person!” called out the fifth princess as she stuck her tongue out playfully at Xia Zhuoyi. She continued speaking and this time, she apologized to Xia Zhuoyi sincerely, “I was in the wrong before. I should not have poisoned you. I won’t do it ever again in the future! I will listen to my master’s words and turn over a new leaf!”
“Huh?” Xia Zhuoyi looked at the fifth princess with a confused expression. He scratched his head sheepishly and said, “It’s all right. I’m no longer angry about it now.”
“Well then, let’s all go back. The training is finally over.” Ling Chuxi smiled and patted the little fox who was tucked into her embrace.
