"Then why did you feign deaf? Do you have some sort of deficiency in your body? Jeez, Carmen dodged a bullet this time and didn't hire you. Otherwise, it would have been disastrous for her."

The Tier 1 Mercenary roared loudly and was about to attack Xu Feng.
However, before he could even land a finger on Xu Feng, he was halted by the guards overseeing the 1st floor. These guards were no ordinary guards, given they were actually Tier 2 Mercenaries who took the job as guards.
"What are you doing?" The Tier 1 Mercenary was confused about why he was detained. "This person just insulted us mercenaries, and you're just going to let him be?"
"Shut up!" One of the guards shouted and gave him a fierce slap to the face. "Insulting us? Why don't you take a closer look at who you were trying to pick a fight with?"
As the guard said that, he lifted the back of the Tier 1 Mercenary head, ensuring he could get a closer look at Xu Feng.
