Long Hui entered his car calming down himself. He called Yu Qi once again but still no answer. Since Tang Han Lee told him that she was at Tang Residence, it was possible that she left her phone behind inside her room and went out.
He called the security guards that had been arranged for Yu Qi's protection. When the leader saw Colonel Long's name on his phone display, he knew it would be hell coming toward him and his team. He knew the issue would be about the car accident.
"Where are you?" Long Hui asked.
"At the FINN City's military base." The leader stated.
It was a coincidence that he happened to be there right now. Well, he would just accept the punishment.
"Great. Meet me there." Long Hui said.
"Yes, Sir." The leader said.
Long Hui drove straight to the military base. It was 20 minutes drive and he arrived there. Seeing Long Hui coming, the soldiers who were guarding outside saluted him. He saluted back them and walked in.
The leader and the soldiers who acted as Yu Qi's bodyguards at that time also waited for Long Hui's arrival. Upon seeing Long Hui, they immediately saluted Long Hui. Long Hui replied with a salute.
The leader stepped forward. "Colonel Long, I as the leader, apologize for being unable to protect Miss Tang."
The moment the leader finished speaking, the soldiers behind him also bowed and spoke the same sentence. It was silent. The silence was killing them. They already thought about the punishment that they would have to face.
"Thank you." Long Hui said.
The leader and the soldiers were stunned as they heard the words coming out of Long Hui's mouth. They lifted up their heads to see Long Hui's face.
"Thank you for finding my fiance as fast as you can. Otherwise, she might be kidnapped by those people who had been targeting her." Long Hui expressed his gratitude to them.
"It is our duty. It is the mission that we had been assigned to." The leader said.
"I will leave." Long Hui said.
He wanted to see his fiance. So, he left, leaving the soldiers who were still in the same state.
One of the soldiers turned to his comrade. "Do you hear that?"
"Yes... Literally."
"He does not punish us."
"The devil commander had softened his heart."
"It must be because of Miss Tang."
"I bet it is."
Long Hui did not care what the soldiers thought about him. In his mind, he needed to go and see his beloved Qi Qi. One hour later, he arrived at the Tang Residence.
Grandpa Hang was the one who welcomed Long Hui. "Young Master Long."
"Where is Qi Qi?" Long Hui asked.
"Young Miss Yu Qi is in the garden." Grandpa Hang informed Long Hui.
"Thank you." Long Hui nodded.
Long Hui already knew the way. So, he did not need Grandpa Hang to show him the way. He walked to the garden. From the far, he could hear Yu Qi's voice. Then, he heard other two voices that he was familiar with.
As he got closer to the place, their voices became more clear. But he wondered why they were here.
Yu Qi, who was talking to Grandpa Long and Feng Yue, suddenly went silent. Feng Yue and Grandpa Long wondered why Yu Qi suddenly went quiet. Yu Qi then stood up and rushed out.
At first, Feng Yue and Grandpa Long wanted to shout to ask Yu Qi about her strange behaviour. However, the question that they wanted to ask did not come out when they saw Yu Qi throw herself into someone's embrace. They did not need to ask her anymore.
"When did you come back?" Yu Qi asked Long Hui while embracing him.
"I just arrived two hours ago." Long Hui asked.
"Why don't you tell me?" Yu Qi looked up.
Long Hui flipped his finger on Yu Qi's forehead. "You are the one who not answering my call."
"Ouch." Yu Qi covered her forehead.
Yu Qi suddenly remembered that she left the phone to be charged in her room. So, the phone was not with her right now.
"I charge my phone." Yu Qi admitted her mistake.
"I figure it out." Long Hui said.
Long Hui's eyes laid on Yu Qi's shoulder, which had been bandaged. Yu Qi also noticed it.
"This is..." Yu Qi tried to explain.
"I already know about that." Long Hui said. He hugged her again. "I know it and understand you well."
Long Hui knew that she was not injured in the car accident. Yu Qi must do it herself to cover up the situation. If she came out of the car accident without any injury, that would be suspicious.
Yu Qi smiled. "Thank you for understanding."
"I am sorry for not being able to protect you." Long Hui whispered.
"It is not your fault. No need to feel sorry." Yu Qi patted Long Hui's cheek.
Seeing the couple still act lovely dovey, Feng Yue could not help but remind them that there were still people around.
"Brother Hui, Yu Qi... We are still here." Feng Yue said.
Yu Qi was embarrassed. She did not care to show off in front of Feng Yue but not in front of Grandpa Long.
As for Long Hui, he did not care much about them. Only after Feng Yue spoke up did he give them a glance.
