Karven and Almond’s clash created pockets of explosions and heatwaves in the sky as two lights danced around, one fiery orange and one silvery-golden.
It was all Karven’s relentless assault on Almond, while Almond just evaded, defended, and observed Karven with everything he had.
Just like how Almond achieved the speed of 100,000 kilometers per second for his attacks, Karven had also achieved that and faster for his abilities.
He had achieved almost the true speed of light, putting Almond in a passive state and at the receiving end of his onslaught.
‘He uses combust mainly, along with a few other things to create an asset and achieve a speed of light through detonation velocity.’ Almond’s eyes flickered as he teleported again.
But a single hazy blast rang right as Almond teleported, and Karven was already behind him, his burning knife swinging at Almond’s throat and hammering on his head.

Almond knew where Karven could attack after his teleportation and had already executed his Arbitrary Wyrm: Dismantle Fang to cover the front area, forcing Karven to cancel his attack as he vanished like a mirage when the maw clamped.
‘And he is using an explosion to teleport, drifting through the first wave that spreads through almost at the speed of light and travels outward to a certain range for him to ride. His form… he created a specific elemental form to ride a shockwave like that, achieving effect like teleporting…’
Karven created a recipe of explosion, a combustion of the highest degree to create a wave spreading out in the circular direction at speed almost reaching the speed of light, upon which Karven would ride in a specific elemental form he cooked to instantly change his location.
‘But it seems there’s a limit or some rule to the way he is using it. The way he is using his abilities… there’s something I don’t know.’
Karven stopped his onslaught after failing his last attempt and floated fifty meters away from Almond. A vein popped on his forehead as he forced a smile and said. “This is going nowhere except for leading to my disadvantage and eventual defeat once I run out of gas, which I will do before you.”
He was alone and didn’t have Prana Batteries like Almond!
“If you are just going to keep running and defending, then I am done. Only five or so minutes are left until the event’s end anyway.”
Karven turned around, intending to leave.
“Thanks,” Almond’s voice rang as he stood in an attacking stance while holding his sword. “I’ll attack now.”
Karven turned back to Almond with a grin, but a sharp and determined one. “Good. It’ll be the last attack, as you said because I am not going to fail this time.”
“Nor am I,” Almond smiled, his eyes gleaming sharply.
‘He never entered Hyper Plane. I just assumed it was because he was faster than me. But I don’t know if he can enter it or not since he never entered it so far to finish me off during the onslaught until now when I was defending, but he could also be saving it until now.’
Almond’s aura burst and then calmed down before it spread around him in a sleek manner, covering him in a stream of golden radiant with sparkling colorful particles shining within the aura.
‘No matter. I’ve made my move to win against him, and all that matters is using it.’
“Woah, did you just transform your Prana into a specific active elemental energy and wrap it around your body?” Karven raised an eyebrow.
Almond indeed used 10,000 Prana in that and also signaled a Prana battery to refill him.
“I don’t have a big Prana reserve, so I can’t use more than 10,000 Prana on a single move unless I prepare like this,” Almond said as he raised his sword’s point. “Anyway, I haven’t named this move, but it’s ready to show itself. Are you ready?”
Karven laughed and stood in a simple stance while holding his knife and hammer. “I am already ready. Alright, if you win this bout, I’ll name that move.”
Almond raised his eyebrows but nodded. “Fine.”
Silence descended, and both of them looked on without blinking, their energies churning and aura appearing as if revving.
Prana Batteries was in anticipation, much like the audience, as everyone was watching only on that single screen to see who would win.
“Damn, who will win?”
“The new betting section has new odds. Betting on Almond will get me more money. It seems that the betting board believes Mad Nut Almond will lose.”
“I’ve bet on Karven to win this duel.”
“Fuck, I want to go all in, but I can’t decide.”
“Hurry up while they are still staring at each other.”
“It’s been five fucking seconds. Make your move, man!”
“Mad Nut Almond will win! Bro created a crazy ability to deal with Karven. I’m sure of it!”
“He’s gonna be a roasted nut soon.”
“Fuck you.”

Almond made a move, executing two sequences first.
First was locking Karven into his place by severing space around him, essentially sealing off the path for his explosion wave to prevent him from using his high-speed drift.
Karven realized it, but his eyes only flickered a bit, and his focus remained. ‘This won’t stop me, blud.’
In the next second, Karven suddenly saw ten Almonds, and all of them vanished before appearing around him, striking from different directions.
‘What?!’
Karven burst out with his full power as the scenery for him changed, and everything appeared time-stopped for him, or rather, extremely slowed down.
In this space, he couldn’t directly interact with anyone, but he could place his body in a different location within the given time, which was 9 seconds.
‘This bastard saved this trick till the last, eh? I didn’t know he could create such type of illusions,’ Karven thought while moving in Hyper Plane.
‘All ten of them are fake, while the real one is here.’
Karven saw Almond ten meters behind one of his clones, obscured and blocked from his sight and sense by concealing his aura.
‘You saved your card until now, but I’ve also saved this card,’ Karven grinned as he positioned himself behind Almond and his knife above Almond’s head before swinging his hammer towards the knife, but he paused halfway. He only applied the kinetic force by making a movement so that once he left the hyper plane, the hammer would strike the knife and pierce through Almond’s head from the top.
Nine seconds were over.
