Lily went down to get food while Almond began exploring his improvements and found what exactly he had gained from the Omega of the Horizon.
He was observing the new perception unfolding before him in his Espada Ad Grimveil domain.
‘So my mana consumption, which is always halved, is now further reduced when I use space-related powers…’
Almond suddenly frowned as a question emerged in his mind, ‘But is it really the case that those skills are affected because they are space-related? No, no…there is something deeper behind it. Something else…’
‘What is space? By definition, it is a three-dimensional area that contains everything within it: objects, atmosphere, appearance, events, and from our perspective, it even contains time. But this is aided by the gravity of the celestial object that is planet…’
‘Space outside the planet is a vacuum, no air, but there, space is affected by radiations of everything like the sun, distant stars, and various other phenomena occurring everywhere. Space naturally bends and gets affected by everything it contains….’
‘But that place, Omega of the Horizon…it must be something way deeper than just Space I know. I gleaned into it, so I can feel it…this absolute void layer that feels like a source of space and also something else…’
‘The way I lost my sense of time and started to forget everything…the way that darkness, that space of nothingness, and golden gate…’
‘Now that I think about it, the golden omega gate was something else entirely, but all I felt was that it enhanced the darkness, which is why I got the feeling of getting devoured by it when I focused on it and found myself in front of it…’
‘But I never managed to glean much into the golden omega itself…what it is? What does it represent? Breaking it down, it was shaped as Omega, which means Final, End, the Extreme part…but there could be a more arcanic meaning to it, too. And next, what does that golden color on it represent?’
‘A golden omega symbol suspending in absolute pitch black darkness…’
Almond could feel that he didn’t even reach 1% progress in terms of understanding that phenomenon.
But whatever he perceived there had boosted a part of his mind in a way that boosted his space-related powers and gave him something.
His control of space within Espada Ad Grimveil increased.
His consumption of everything space-related decreased.
All effects of his space-related powers increased drastically.
He gained a new type of perception that allowed him to see a layer that contained even the space he could perceive previously. He called this layer—the Void Canvas.
Almond weirdly thought of Canvas when he was thinking of what to call it. It felt unnatural, but he something thought of that word and produced some theories, and based on that, he decided that Void Canvas was the most apt description of it.
It felt just like when he directly gained S-rank Lightning elemental mastery…all of his lightning-based powers get boosted by 100% based on Mana consumption.
Gaining elemental mastery boosts the skill significantly based on its rank. Suppose someone consumed 100 Mana and fired an arrow that dealt 100 damage.
Now, if the same 100 mana cost arrow turned into a flame arrow with S-rank Fire elemental mastery, then it would deal 200 damage.
Same mana cost but a 100% damage boost. This was the power of an S-rank elemental mastery. It was lower for A-rank, B-rank, and so on, but 100% for S-rank.
However, the boost of effects Almond measured went way past that!
If it was a 100% boost, then based on his perception, his Espada Ad Grimveil’s range should have increased to merely 800 meters radius.
But it increased freaking 4000 meters radius! That was a boost of 900%!
He could make 900% larger rifts of void without losing control!
He could teleport anywhere within a 4000-meter radius instantly at an insignificant mana cost.

And now, most crazy of all…his eyes—his physical visual sense, and his consciousness, his divine sense that could go outside to feel more than just physical using Mana A.K.A Focus Field…were affected by whatever he gained as well!
His sensory and visual range of everything was boosted by 900%!
His Focus Field was 400 meters radius, and this technique’s range depended on his Perception stat, Focus stat, and mana consumption!
It freaking increased to 4000 meters radius! No one had it!
No one!
Because to reach that size of Focus Field would require 4000 Perception and Focus!
Without legendary items, the old monsters could, at most, have 2000 Perception and Focus based on his inspections of old monsters so far in two S-rank dungeons. They had skills or techniques or something else that boosted those for them. Whatever it was, none of them broke past the 2000 mark without legendary items.
‘With such a big boost, what is the power of my Catastrophic Strike if I go all out at my current state?’ Almond felt goosebumps just imagining it since he had measured how much he boosted himself.
‘But why the fuck I got boosted like this so much, but not a single notification on anything?’
‘With such a boost, I should have Space elemental mastery awakened right now…’ Almond felt weird and slightly annoyed.
But when he thought about how this could be possible, his mind went to his innate talent.
‘Fuck…’
Almond’s brain churned as he thought of something and felt even more goosebumps than before.
‘So my X-rank Trait allowed me to break past something…that I shouldn’t possibly have…and I still don’t have it, but I broke past it something, and that power boosted my space-related powers so much…clearly…space is just a single aspect of it…’
‘Whatever power this is, space is just a part of it, and that’s why it got boosted, which is why I didn’t gain a mastery of it. I may have just touched the surface of this power…’
Almond wanted that power and didn’t want to be defeated. His tenacity was in full drive there, and his X-rank trait’s effect obtained it for him!
It broke past the limit of something that shouldn’t be obtainable, and whatever that something was, it affected his space powers, boosting it.
‘The 6th floor’s heroic challenge might turn out to be the easiest so far…’
Almond grinned just thinking about it.
‘But for now, let’s look at the void layer…’ Almond focused back on his domain, the void layer particularly.
The outer space of this universe was included in that layer, which was why he gained control over it, even though it was affected by whatever outside affected it.
No more suction force could breach into his domain because of the void layer.
‘What is in that layer exactly?’ Almond went deeper inside and suddenly felt goosebumps.
‘W-What the fuck is this energy?’
His mana instantly vaporized when he manifested a bit of it. It was his own layer, in his control, but his mana was instantly obliterated by that energy.
‘This….the void layer is suppressing, no… rather the void layer is containing even the effects and space of outer space and that energy…’
‘What if I let a little bit of it out of the void layer into my domain?’
Almond shook his head, feeling goosebumps rising all over his body when he thought about how that energy destroyed his Mana.
That energy was entirely out of his control.
