Asty: Anyway, I had asked my future self how can I test my classmates whether I can trust them or not and he only said that those classmates of mine who joins the resistance are the classmates that I can trust.
Arthur: Why is that?
Arthur couldn’t help but ask since he didn’t know what the future Asty was thinking when he said that to Asty in the present timeline.
Asty: My future self has told me that Allen had created a failsafe in the telepathy chat group. One of those failsafe removes the memory of the members of the telepathy chat group when Allen removes the chat group from them.
Hearing Asty’s message in their mind, Asty’s classmates gulped in slight fear of losing their memories. They were quite afraid of how prepared Allen was to the point he added that failsafe in the telepathy chat group.
Although they had heard about that before from Allen as he had mentioned that before, they had thought that Allen was just joking but from Asty’s words, they now knew that Allen wasn’t joking.
Carrion: Asty, do you know which part of our memories gets removed by the telepathy chat group when Allen removes the telepathy chat group from us?.
Carrion asked Asty as he was curious as to which part of their memories were going to be removed when Allen removed the telepathy chat group from them. After all, that made Asty confident in trusting those who have the telepathy chat group aka those who join the resistance.
As for Allen, he was silently lurking in the chat as he just acted as a spectator. He was reading their chats and he find Asty’s <Supreme Clairvoyant> talent as amusing.
Although Allen has that <Supreme Clairvoyant> talent and he was better than Asty’s <Supreme Clairvoyant> talent, he still was curious about the limitations of Asty’s <Supreme Clairvoyant> talent.
All Allen could say from Asty’s <Supreme Clairvoyant> talent was that it was kind of overpowered and underestimated.
Asty could live a long life with his <Supreme Clairvoyant> talent since he would know from his foresights which event or incident would threaten his life and he could find ways how to avoid that from happening.
Because of that, Allen was curious about Asty’s limitations regarding his <Supreme Clairvoyant> talent and how much Asty knew about the future. And also how much the future version of Asty knew about him.
Asty: From what my future self had told me, Allen made the failsafe remove all of the memories an hour before we receive the telepathy chat group and the memories we had after we receive the telepathy chat group.
Asty: So in our perspective, when the telepathy chat group is removed from us, we would experience as if nothing happened and time just skipped without knowing that our memories have been removed.
Hearing Asty’s explanation, Carrion digested all of that information and although one of his questions was answered, another one popped up in his head.
Carrion: Did Allen also add a failsafe if we ever tell others about the existence of the telepathy chat group and about all of us defying the Supreme Academy?
Asty: Of course, Allen did. My future self told me that the punishment for those who did that would be removing the telepathy chat group from them and you know what happens next after the telepathy chat group is removed.
Asty: Allen even made sure that the telepathy chat group and the resistance’s existence wouldn’t be leaked to the point of making a failsafe. And that failsafe would activate if any of us have any intention of betraying the resistance or telling others about it.
Carrion: Any other failsafe that Allen added to the telepathy chat group?
Carrion knew that Allen was a cautious and calculative person so he doubted that those were the only failsafe that he had added to the telepathy chat group.
He knew that when he had fought against Allen in a chess match, Allen was already several steps ahead of him in planning so he knew that Allen must have already planned several steps in the future when he had given them the telepathy chat group.
That was why Carrion knew that Allen must have another trick up his sleeve when he had made the telepathy chat group.
Asty: There is another one that I have known from my future self. My future self told me that Allen had created a lie-detecting feature in the telepathy chat group and it’s only available to him.
Asty: From what I know, the lie detecting feature worked by highlighting our messages with red color if we are lying, and in the case of multiple user messages at the same time with the same message, our name would be highlighted red if we are lying.
Asty: That’s all I know since, in the future, Allen revealed that feature when he had spotted one of us lying to him about not betraying the resistance. So in other words, in the future, one of us betrayed the resistance.
Reading all of the explanations that Asty has given, Allen was pleased since it only meant that he didn’t have to bother himself in explaining all of that to his classmates.
And it was not like those features and failsafe were a secret since, in the future, Allen even revealed them. Allen was just shocked in knowing how accurate Asty’s explanation about the features of the telepathy chat group which most of them weren’t even revealed by him to his classmates.
With that in mind, Allen decided not to underestimate Asty that much compared to his classmates. If he was to choose between Carrion and Asty on which of the two would pose a threat to him, then it’s going to be Asty.
Carrion: Allen, are what Asty has said about the telepathy chat group accurate or not?
Carrion asked Allen for confirmation since it was best to ask the creator of the telepathy chat group himself to verify the validity of the information that Asty had given to them.
[0)ᴠʟ Allen: All of what Asty has said about the telepathy chat group are accurate. So after knowing that, I expect all of you not to betray the resistance since not only will your memories be erased, I will remove every loose end.
Hearing Allen’s threat, they knew he wasn’t joking so they could now expect that if they betrayed the resistance, they would be eliminated by Allen.
Allen: Asty, you can now continue what you were going to say about the future memory that you have received from your future self. You have said it yourself that it was a gruesome one so might as well tell us about it so we can find a way to prevent it.
