Dave sensed that the man’s plan might have succeeded had he taken action before ascending to the immortal plane. The man smiled bitterly, not bothering to beg for mercy.
Resolution shone in his eyes.
“Even though you’re strong, my lord will kill you,” he said.
There was no fear of death in his eyes. Dave smirked, walking toward him.
“Hehe, don’t worry. You won’t be lonely in the afterlife. I’ll send your god there as well.”
As he said this, Dave scanned the man’s memories.
Despite the man’s attempt to resist, he couldn’t escape Dave’s grasp.
“No!” he shouted, but Dave had already delved into his memories.
After a minute, Dave clapped his hands, now privy to the history of the cult.
He swiftly killed the man and took his corpse for a greater purpose.
Dave learned that the man was a pitiful child in ancient times.
He was likely the same age as Dave’s other ancestor in the Alexander Clan.
He had stumbled upon the legacy of the Dark God, whose consciousness instructed him to build a cult and aid in the rebuilding of his body.
The Dark God hadn’t completely died; his weak soul remained in the Immortal Plane, waiting for millions of years to find someone who could assist him.
The Dark God helped the man become strong, but the power of the Alexander Clan was dominant, leading the Dark God’s consciousness to caution against it.
The man couldn’t act publicly, so he schemed and plotted, gathering followers to serve and worship the Dark God in exchange for greater strength.
Dave smiled as he surveyed the lifeless world, calling forth Flamy.

“Master, are we going to fight?”
Flamy sounded disappointed at not being able to showcase his mighty powers, though he dared not show dissatisfaction to his master, fearing his wrath.
Dave smiled and said, “You’re the star-devouring flame, right?”
“You can definitely devour the cores of worlds.”
“Cores of worlds and star components are almost the same, but the cores of worlds possess a will to protect themselves and evolve.”
Flamy nodded, affirming, “Yes, Master. Back then, I devoured many worlds. I was considered one of the most wicked, but I never devoured worlds with living beings.”
“Devouring the cores of worlds or stars can make me stronger. I can refine some and give them to you. They could be useful to enhance your body’s strength and refinement.”
Flamy explained the benefits, which could also be harnessed by Eldrich to craft potent potions and pills.
The cores of worlds were complex and powerful.
Dave knew Flamy could devour them like snacks, but he had always restrained Flamy in his space, preventing him from consuming any worlds.
“Very well, I’ll allow you to devour some worlds here, but do not harm the innocent,”
Dave said, projecting an image of a virtuous protector.
“Hmm, it’s good to be a good person,”
Dave mumbled, his words tinged with sarcasm.
Flamy recognized the sarcasm but didn’t mind. He was elated to have his master’s permission.
“Haha, as you command, Master,” Flamy said cheerfully, his excitement evident.
Flamy created a clone and spread it in multiple directions with excitement.

He expected to earn a significant number of sin points from this. With a smile, he called Ronin again to inquire about the God of Darkness.

Ronin materialized in front of Dave and bowed to show his respect. “Master.”
Dave nodded and inquired about the progress of the mission he had assigned to Ronin.
Ronin reported that they had killed numerous Dark Cult members who were still attacking small worlds.
After the news of their leader’s demise spread, panic set in, and the remaining members fled in all directions.
Ronin was currently hunting down the remaining members, following his master’s instructions to ensure none were left alive.
Dave smiled, but his expression gradually grew serious.
He posed another question to Ronin.
“You’re familiar with the God of Darkness, right? Assassin King?”
Ronin’s expression remained unchanged. In the past, Dave was weaker, and his soul would likely have shattered if he learned about deities.
However, now that he had grown stronger, the situation was different.
“Yes, Master,” Ronin confirmed.
Dave’s smile persisted, and he spoke again.
“You know, I’ve come to realize that I don’t know much about your origins and your story. How about you share that with me?”
Ronin nodded and began to recount his history.

“My name was Noeh Darkblood before. I was born into a powerful family in the demon realm, a family with high status among the demon clan. The Darkblood family held the title of Duke Family in the demon realm and served the Demon God.”
