Chapter 252-Ambush
Dave learned that Lady Hemire is going back to her clan as she attended a banquet. She is also tasked by her father to represent their clan. It is estimated that they will reach the clan in just a day if nothing happens.
Inside the caravan of Lady Hemire, Dave’s keen senses detected a lurking presence among the dense foliage that lined the road.
He is resting but his eyes, sharp and perceptive, are focused on the rustling bushes where the hidden enemy lay in wait. The tension in the air grew palpable as the bandits prepared to strike, their malicious intent emanating from the shadows.
Dave now realized why she wanted someone to protect her. He believed that there may be an old monster hiding in the shadow protecting her.
Lady Hemire and her entourage, unaware of the imminent danger, continued their journey, their guard lowered. But Dave detected them easily, but he didn’t act immediately.

“Leader, the target is here!”
One of the bandits said excitedly as they could not wait to plunder them.
The leader nodded and he replied, “Our goal is simple, we will kill everyone and capture the miss.”
The bandits nodded but one of them said, “Boss, it’s a pity to just capture her, why don’t we play a little bit to her.”
“Go away, just play with the maids and not her. She has a special status.”
He scolded them silently and then waited for the right moment.
“Now! Attack!”
As the bandits pounced upon the unsuspecting caravan, chaos erupted. Swords clashed, arrows flew, and the clash of steel reverberated through the air.
“Ambush! Prepare to defend! Kill them”
Lady Hemire’s soldiers valiantly fought back, defending their charge with fierce determination. But the bandits, driven by their desire for plunder, outnumbered them.
From his concealed position, Dave’s eyes glowed with a flash of intense brilliance. Activating his unique eye powers, he unleashed a surge of energy. His eyes seemed to penetrate the darkness, seeing through the bandits’ feeble attempts at stealth. With a focused gaze, he locked onto his targets, their hearts marked by his lethal precision.
In an instant, bolts of energy shot forth from Dave’s eyes, streaking through the air with blinding speed. The bandits caught off guard, found themselves struck down by an unseen force. Their bodies crumpled to the ground, lifeless and motionless. Dave’s eye powers, honed through arduous training and cultivation, made short work of the unsuspecting enemies.
He uses his <Emperor Eyes> and no one can detect it unless they are far stronger than he was.
Amidst the chaos of battle, Dave’s actions went unnoticed. Lady Hemire’s soldiers, inspired by their unexpected turn of fortune, fought with renewed vigor. The tides of the skirmish began to shift in their favor as the bandits faltered, their morale shattered by the sudden demise of their comrades.
“What is happening?”
The bandit leader was scared and confused about why his men suddenly died mysteriously. He was angry as they are all brothers, but they are dying one by one.
Suddenly, he felt that his heart was beating rapidly, and he clutched his chest.
“Arghh! What is this?”
He shouted but it was too late as his heart exploded and fell to the ground.
The bandits noticed what happened and they were afraid as they didn’t expect their leader, the strongest of them all, to die mysteriously. He is an Imperial Immortal, but he died just like that.
Dave, satisfied with the outcome of his covert intervention, withdrew from his position, careful to conceal his presence once more. He felt weak right now because he used a lot of his soul powers. He cannot use his <Emperor Eyes> again as he needs to recover his soul powers. He only targets the strongest and he believed that they could manage the rest.
They defeated and beheaded the bandits after an hour, and they captured some of them for interrogation.

Inside the carriage, Hemire reads the reports of her subordinate.
“They died mysteriously, and their hearts exploded?”
She was stunned as she didn’t know who did that. She will never suspect Dave because he is weak right now and recovering his energy, so she believes that a senior passing by may just help her.
Her guard interrogated the bandits and they confessed everything. They were sent here by the young master of the Wenson Family. He is courting her, but she is always rejecting him because she is full of disgust for him.
That Young Master is known for destroying beautiful ladies and killing indiscriminately. His clan is on par with her clan so she cannot do anything to him or there will be a war.
“He will pay for this!”
She was angry but she decided to calm herself and report it to her father. Her eyes are full of killing intent but when she easily retains her calmness and thinks of her next actions.
Right now, she must first go back to report it to her father and then go to her master.

A day later, Dave opened his eyes as he heard a lot of noises. He opens the window and sees that they are now in a place where there are a lot of people talking to each other. The maid also entered the carriage to bring his food and she explained that they were now inside the clan and will be in the core base of the clan in just an hour.
