Every demon lord also had their chosen hero like the gods if they gave them their blessings. They cannot bless someone of their kind, so they are conquering many worlds in the lower plane to select a suitable hero to add to their troops. Every 100 years, the chosen heroes will compete in a tournament where the demon kings are watching, and the reward is astronomical. Those who win the tournament become strong and you can get a chance to serve the demon king who is the highest ranking in the demon realm.
Lupercio thinks that it was a good deal as it can make his mission complete faster. At first, he thought that this world was easy to conquer so he didn’t send any heroes there and let his subordinate do the work, but they failed and even cost his left eye. He can regenerate again but it would cost him a lot of energy and he is too lazy to do it.
