Before Yue Lan’s words could finish, something seeped out of Shen Yuan’s hand.
It was complete darkness, as if the sky was devoid of moon and stars. BOOM! It exploded once it came out of his body and engulfed all of his surroundings.
‘WHAT?!’ he inwardly screamed as all sound ceased to exist in this darkness.

[Devouring Fiend Celestial Bloodline is devouring the Undying Heart.]
The bloodline seemed to have stirred due to the presence of the Undying Heart. It pulled the heart into the darkness and brought it closer to Shen Yuan’s own heart.
It slowly refined the boundless life energy inside of it into Shen Yuan’s body, fortifying it further.
Shen Yuan, on the other hand, felt a cool energy seeping inside his body, enhancing all of it slowly, changing its internal structure, and helping the 366 Dantians to consolidate further.

A strange hut stood atop a boundless snowy mountain, with greenery all around the hut. In the outside world the flowers and fruits of this place would be considered as supreme heavenly treasures, but here they were just wild grass and fruits.
And in the middle of it, a kind-looking old man sat there, sipping his tea calmly. His hand paused all of a sudden as he felt something stir within him and checked, “Hmm? Someone is…refining my heart?”
The world around him stilled as his mood fluctuated, but it soon regained its calm as the old man shook his head, “Well, I need to pass my legacy to someone after all. I will just wait and see if he can make use of that heart to rea—”
Before his words could finish, he felt his connection to his own heart getting severed without any resistance. His gaze turned profound as he looked towards the World Raiser Sect mountain.

Shen Yuan, on the other hand, felt goosebumps forming on his skin, all the darkness around him receded like a tide back into his body, and his bloodline became dormant and erased all traces of itself—almost as if it were hiding.
He quickly stood up and looked around, but he soon calmed his beating heart upon realizing that no one was there.
‘Did you feel that someone was here, Lan’er?’ He inwardly asked.
[I can’t be sure. My senses are limited here, and if someone much stronger than you observe you from too far away, even I won’t be able to feel their presence. But since you felt something like this, it can be the owner of this Undying Heart.]
Shen Yuan’s heart thumped wildly in his chest. He couldn’t imagine what the cultivation base of the owner of the Undying Heart would be. “Do you know what level the owner of this Undying Heart would be at?”
[Hmm…that’s hard to say. This Undying Heart has been here for eras, and much of its energy has been used, but it’s still a supreme treasure of this world. You will have to wait and see, but the owner shouldn’t have any malice toward you.]
Shen Yuan calmed down and continued meditating.

“Hmm…interesting, that lad managed to devour my heart and even refined the imprint that I left behind. He managed to destroy an Undying Imprint.” The old man’s eyes flashed with both curiosity and hope.
“Maybe…maybe he is the one I have been waiting for.” He muttered silently with a whimsical expression, “I hope he finds her there, only she can lead him to me.”
After looking at Shen Yuan for a while, he closed his eyes and glanced down, focusing back on his tea.

Shen Yuan’s eyes flashed with excitement. The spying gaze that he had felt on him had already vanished. He stood up and looked at the system prompt in front of him.
“Lan’er, how strong is this regeneration??” he quickly asked.
[It can heal your minor injuries quickly, and it will take some time to heal fatal injuries. And it cannot regenerate a severed limb.]
Yue Lan calmly explained the limits of his Regeneration powers.
Shen Yuan’s face became a bit disappointed, “That’s all? I thought it would do better than that from how much energy was inside the Undying Heart.”

Shen Yuan paused and realized he had been hoping for too much. He had a total of five physiques all at the top of this world, and an unknown bloodline of unimaginable power—not to mention his 366 Dantians as well.
It would really take a heavenly treasure to fix his broken limb. “Sigh…anyway, I should head to the next location now. There is nothing much left for me to see here. The mystery of the Forest Zone is mine. The next stop shall be the Wall of Comprehension.”
He made up his mind and began walking. There were two reasons that he was heading there. One was that he wanted to see what he could learn from the Wall of Comprehension since all those who went there comprehended different techniques.
The other reason was that Wan Ling was there. He had already talked with her via the Harem Connect, and she and a few of their fellow sect mates were there.
“Now that I think about it, I haven’t seen any of my Sect members here. Not even while fighting for the Core area of the Forest Zone. Did they go somewhere else?” He wondered while walking.

“Life Beast, eh… Let’s see if you are still undying.” Shen Yuan smirked, looking at the tall bear-like beast standing in front of him.
It was a giant bear with four legs, with fire covering its back and forehead.
ROARRR!!
The beast roared before smashing the ground and running toward him on all fours, but Shen Yuan quickly took out a crackling thunder spear.
‘Heaven’s Wrath Spear Art: First Form—Heaven’s Call!’
As soon as he used his technique, the entire spear became covered in crackling thunder, flashing with a blinding light. Just as he activated his technique, the beast appeared in front of him before smashing down with its massive paw.
Shen Yuan raised his spear and thrust it toward the beast’s paw. BOOM! The entire arm of the beast exploded in a bloody mess.
‘Hmm? Oh, the beast is only at the mid-level of the Dao Core Forming Stage. No wonder it’s so weak.’ Shen Yuan had forgotten to check its level; he had expected the beast to be a Peak Beast Lord.
‘Well, I only want to confirm something. It is better this way.’ He shook his head and stared intently at the broken part of the beast’s hand.
A green glow appeared and began healing the arm of the beast, creating bones first before the muscle fiber and tendons.
