He pulled up Xueyan and whispered something in her ear, “What do you think? Can you pull it off?”
Xueyan thought about it carefully for some time before nodding her head. Shen Yuan patted her head, “Good girl, I will take you out more often from now on to play with.”
She rubbed her head on his cheek before jumping down from his shoulder. Shen Yuan concealed himself behind the boulder and peeked a little to see the situation ahead.
Xueyan sneakily walked towards the beast, making sure they wouldn’t notice her. And the Beast Lords were all lying down on the ground lazily as it had been far too long since any intruder had entered this place.
One of the Beast Lords, who seemed to be the leader of this group, suddenly raised his head and looked toward the direction where Xueyan was coming from.
It was an ape-like beast, similar to what they had fought with before. It suddenly screamed, and all the beasts quickly stood up before staring towards Xueyan.
The Leader roared before all the beasts lunged towards Xueyan to capture her. But she proved to be much more agile than them as she jumped from between their fingers and slapped her paw on the cheek of the Leader before running back towards the attack.
A deafening silence ensued inside the cave as all the beasts looked at their Leader in shock before it snapped its neck in her direction and furiously roared.
All the beasts quickly began running after her, including the leader Beast King.
Shen Yuan, who saw this entire scene play out before him, came out from behind the boulder, “Hmm… I will look through this place later. Time to clean up some trash for now.”
He thought with a smirk before running outside as well.
At the exit, Xueyan waited for the Beast Lords to catch up before entering another tunnel. The beasts roared and followed her inside. Shen Yuan came out and followed the beasts from a distance.
Once inside the tunnel, Xueyan sped up and ran inside with all her might. The beasts behind quickly lost sight of her as they began to charge in a frenzy.
Shen Yuan stopped at the exit and waited for a while; a small shadow walked out from the tunnel. He smiled softly, looking at the proud face of Xueyan as she strutted back on top of his shoulder.
She raised her head as if asking for praise for her hard work. “Yes yes, you are the best. No one else could have done such a spectacular job.”
He sincerely said before walking inside the tunnel. Meanwhile, Xueyan happily lay down on his shoulder by shrinking herself again to rest.
“You will get fat if all you do is eat and sleep.” Shen Yuan quietly remarked while heading inside.
Xueyan quickly stood up and looked at Shen Yuan sharply, her claws came out as if she would pounce at him without wasting a single second.
Shen Yuan gulped softly, “Cough, I was just kidding, you help me a lot so why would I say that all you do is eat and sleep? I was just making a light joke.” He quickly picked her up in his embrace before petting her.
Xueyan’s expression softened as no woman wanted to hear about her weight increasing, whether they be human or not.

“Senior Brother Mo, do you think this is the right path for the core treasure of the Forest Zone?” one of the disciples quietly asked.
Mo Yanhui shook his head, “The correct path is probably the one where the Beast Lords had gathered. But we won’t be able to enter there even after combining all of our strengths.”
Another disciple asked in an unwilling voice, “Does that mean we will have to return empty-handed? I don’t want that.”
Mo Yanhui shook his head with a smirk. “Who says that we will return empty-handed?”
The first disciple’s eyes lit up, “Senior Brother, do you mean…?”
“Yes, we will wait until someone’s patience runs out and they head inside there to test the waters for us. If someone has a strong enough trump card to kill off the beasts there, then that will be beneficial to us.” Mo Yanhui softly explained.
The eyes of all three disciples following him lit up as they heard his words. The third disciple, who had been silent till now, said, “Do you think we will be alright after killing Shen Yuan? Will the Radiant Lotus Sacred Sect enact vengeance against us?”
Mo Yanhui thoughtfully said, “Whatever will happen later will happen, we can’t stop that. But what we can do is look for treasure to improve our strength. No need to dwell on useless stuff.”
The other disciples heaved a sigh and decided to trust their senior brother. Mo Yanhui cleaned his spear as they had just killed another Life Beast inside the tunnel. But before they could move forward, he paused and listened quietly.
“You all, did you hear something?” he asked while looking towards the direction from where they had come.
“Huh? What do you me—” Before his words could finish, they all heard a deafening roar echo inside the cave.
“Shit! Is another Beast Lord entering this cave?” one of the disciples screamed while holding his saber tightly.
“Don’t panic, there is only a single Life Beast. We can handle it even if it’s a Peak one.” Another disciple quickly calmed down and began to circulate his Qi for the upcoming battle.
Mo Yanhui, on the other hand, looked intently at the exit. “I’m afraid it’s not that simple.” His expression gradually turned solemn as he readied his stance for battle.
“Get in formation, this battle might be our last.” He calmly said, not fearing death in the slightest.
The other disciples’ eyes widened in fear, but they forced themselves to calm down as panicking right now would only lead to a swift death.
ROOARRR!!
Multiple roars echoed from the outside as they saw nearly a dozen Life Beasts coming inside.
The disciples’ legs trembled, looking at the absurd number of them. Even Mo Yanhui’s eyes flashed with fear, but he quickly calmed down before resolve took over.
“LISTEN UP! WE ARE THE DISCIPLES OF THUNDER CLOUD SECT, EVEN IF WE WERE TO DIE WE WILL DIE FIGHTING TO THE DEATH!!” he screamed before circulating his cultivation technique to its limits.
The other disciples’ eyes also gradually solidified as getting scared was useless at this point. They were also the Core Disciples of a Divine Grade Sect. They wouldn’t back down in the face of death.
“Haha, being able to die by fighting alongside Brother Mo is a true honor.” One of the disciples brandished his spear while laughing heroically.
The other two disciples laughed and nodded in agreement before whipping out their own weapons. They created a four-man formation before synchronizing with each other.
Mo Yanhui nodded in approval, looking at their fearless demeanor, “Good, that’s the spirit. So what if we die? How many before us have died pursuing the Dao?
