The beast growled and took a step forward. Each of its heads had four tusks, glowing with a vibrant green color.
Shen Yuan focused on the strange Qi as he felt it was similar to the life energy of this forest. He decided to stay cautious and sent out an energy attack.
‘Heavenly Thunder Slash! Thunder Intent! Sword Intent!’ He utilized his self-derived move and intents to attack the beast. The beast’s body glowed softly from the incoming slash, pulsing with a vibrant green aura.

A thunderous shockwave spread out as Shen Yuan’s slash connected. Sparks flew, and the green aura around the beast shuddered for a moment before solidifying again. The beast staggered back half a step, one of its tusks cracking slightly. Yet it refused to fall—both elephant heads let out a furious trumpeting roar as its injured tusk visibly healed within seconds.
Shen Yuan narrowed his eyes. “That green energy—it’s some kind of regenerative aura, is it the life energy of the forest?” he muttered under his breath.
He could sense that the slash had landed, but the beast’s body was already absorbing much of the impact by channeling the life energy around it. The cracked tusk mended with strands of luminous green light knitting it back together.
[Yuan’er, your thunder alone might not be enough for this beast.]
Yue Lan playfully teased him.
Shen Yuan didn’t mind and nodded his head. ‘I know, it will keep healing if I don’t finish it off in a move,’ he replied inwardly, preparing another strike.
Behind him, Xueyan let out a low growl as if urging him to finish the beast quickly due to her boredom.
The massive two-headed creature pounded the ground with one of its forelegs, charging forward. Shen Yuan met its rush head-on, sword raised high. He could feel the thick life force twisting around the beast, increasing both its strength and endurance.
He flicked his wrist and channeled Spatial Intent into his body. Fine distortions rippled around his body as if warping reality itself. A crackling layer of thunder Qi coated Crimson Devourer, lightning arcs dancing across the blade. Shen Yuan’s eyes sharpened.
“Let’s see how you deal with this!”
He vanished momentarily—only a blur remained where he had stood. The beast was about to lunge at Shen Yuan’s afterimage when a distortion rippled to its side. Shen Yuan reappeared and swung his sword in a diagonal slash aimed at one of the elephant heads.
CRACK!
He increased the output of Thunder Qi and struck the beast directly. The crackling thunder cut through its green aura like a knife through butter. The thunder Qi rushed inside the Beast Lord’s body, increasing its injuries.
The beast let out a pained roar, its left elephant head nearly severed as green blood spurted everywhere, sizzling under the remnants of Shen Yuan’s thunder.
However, Shen Yuan felt a sharp decline in his own Qi. The Mystique Realm’s dense spatial fabric resisted him—his Void Steps had consumed far more energy than normal. He landed a few meters away, quickly looking to see how much Qi he had used.
His eyes widened in disbelief; he realized he had used nearly 5% of his entire reserve of Qi only for minor teleportation.
‘So it costs me that much to move like this in the Realm? I’ll have to limit myself while using Spatial moves.’ He quickly made up his mind.
Despite its severe injury, the beast refused to collapse. One of its heads hung limply, dangerously close to detaching, but the vibrant green aura flared to life again. The wound began to close with unnaturally rapid speed, flesh knitting itself back together.
Shen Yuan tightened his grip on his sword. “Fucking hell. Does your regeneration not have any limit?”
He pressed his free hand against the ground, channeling a surge of thunder Qi beneath the creature. “Thunderous Quake!” he roared, releasing a powerful quake that crackled with electricity. The ground under the beast’s feet exploded upward in a burst of jagged rock and lightning.
RUMBLE!
The beast jerked violently, losing its footing. The regeneration aura faltered for a split second under the violent force of the quake but resumed almost instantly.
Lightning ran across the beast’s fur, scorching it, but the green aura once again began to mend the worst of the damage.
‘Its healing is ridiculous, but there must be a limit…’ Shen Yuan thought, stepping in again.
This time, he decided to utilize the Wind element together with Thunder for extreme speed and strength.
His body rose slightly above the ground while his blade crackled with thunder. “Take this!” He tilted forward a little before shooting like a missile toward the Beast Lord.
The Beast Lord, who was still healing its injuries, couldn’t react in time before Shen Yuan slashed at one of its legs dozens of times and cleanly cut it off.
RAHHHHH
The beast roared while Shen Yuan quickly jumped back to see its reaction. The Beast Lord toppled to the ground while its regenerative aura quickly closed the wound before it began to grow a new leg.
Shen Yuan’s eyes widened in disbelief. He knew it was possible to grow new limbs with pills or natural treasures, but both those pills or natural treasures were extremely precious.

But before it could make sense of the situation, Shen Yuan took a deep breath and jumped towards it. His sword sliced another of the beast’s legs with a single attack.
However, before the regenerative aura of the beast could heal its leg, Shen Yuan swung his sword again and again and again. He kept slicing the body of the beast, cutting out chunks of meat with each slash.
The massive beast quickly fell to the ground with all of its limbs severed, but Shen Yuan wasn’t done with the beast yet. He continued cutting it down. After he skinned the beast of its flesh, he began to slice off its bones.
In the end, only small pieces of the beast were remaining, scattered all over the ground.
“Haa…haa…let’s see you regenerate from that.” He smirked, looking at the small pieces all over the ground.
But his smile soon froze as he saw the green light coming back on top of all the scattered pieces. He clenched his teeth while raising his sword above his head, “Fuck you, that’s how you want it? Sure. Heaven and Earth Severance: Mountain Cleaving! Sword Intent! Fire Intent! Chaotic Vessel Physique!”
