The new quest Kent received was just the best. He knew from the first quest how things would go, and so, though he wouldn’t mind spending time with her, he would also now get paid to do that.
The Saintess did save his master.
She went against his plan, but she saved her, and that was what counted. Now, since she had entered the crosshairs of a Saint-level alchemist, she wouldn’t be safe until Kent found a way to resolve all this.
It will end one of two ways: the Poison Witch backs down after Kent discovers she is sick, or he kills her and makes everyone in the four kingdoms hate him. Either way, he will resolve it soon.
He spent a few minutes talking with Saintess Neomi, who wasn’t being as uptight as before. After that, he left with his master.
Ingrid was cultivating the fruit Kent gave her, so she missed all the events that had happened at the entrance of the sect. But she will come out in a day or two now with a Platinum Grade Spirit Root.
He hasn’t given any to the Saintess just yet. His focus now was on his master, whom he had failed to notice was seeing herself as inferior all this time.
“Master, do you see yourself as inferior?” Kent asked, now back at the Sword Gate with his master.
When he had learned her identity after she came to the Alderford Mansion to make him her disciple, he had only seen her as the most badass lady aside from his first wife, Goddess Vexthra.
She was the Sword Saintess of the Athea Kingdom, the most powerful person whom even an entire noble family wouldn’t dare go against. She was a force the kingdom could rely on, and so on.
But beneath it all, she was feeling inferior and insecure.
And yes, the worst part was that Kent had missed it despite having such an overpowered set of eyes. That was just too bad—and very bad on his part.
So now, he would listen and pay more attention before he left for his own training and other pursuits.
“I’m sorry you had to find out like this, but the truth is, my talent in cultivation is very weak. Basically, I don’t have much stamina, strength, or any of that since, despite rising to this stage in the sword path and cultivation level.
My cultivation was achieved mostly using pills and other treasures.

In her entire life, all she ever wanted was the power to be the one protecting her sister. Saintess Neomi was like the one who raised her.
She had nearly sacrificed her chance to enter such a prestigious sect—all for her. Though it was something the Spear Saintess would have done again if given the chance, Saintess Selene wanted to repay her.
But she was just not at the level to do that.
It was also one of the reasons she was trying to make Kent her man. This way, she would have an amazing husband, an amazing goddess as a sister, and access to the tower.
But at the moment, she was very emotional, especially after being saved again by her big sister.
“I am sorry you felt this way,” Kent said, wiping her tears. “But you are my woman, and as my woman, I have the obligation to make you happy. So I will do that.”
Kent took out a Golden Ambrosia Apple. “Do you know what this is?” he asked, and the Saintess nodded with a shocked expression.
“Then you know that this will raise your Spirit Root grade to the Diamond Stage. After that, I will give you another one that will take you to the Ruby Stage without having to wait 100 years.
“This will even take your Spirit Root one grade above your sister. But don’t worry about her, I will give her one too. For now, I just want to focus on my woman.”
Kent gave the apple to her and wiped away the tears that appeared again.
“No need to cry. I already told you what would happen the moment I got into your pants. Now that I have, it’s only natural that I become the master and you, my disciple,” Kent joked, but the Saintess wasn’t smiling.
She was very emotional at the moment, and Kent could only keep wiping her tears.
“Thank you, Kent… Thank you very much,” she said, hugging him. Kent could only smile and be happy for her.
“Just focus on upgrading your Spirit Root. When you are done, I have another gift for you. In fact, you are going to love that gift more than this,” Kent said with a smile.
The Saintess shed a few tears before pulling back.
“On the flip side, why don’t I give this to you already?” Kent retrieved a Dark Golden Ambrosia apple and another Golden Ambrosia apple.
He gave them to his master, who was shocked beyond understanding. But since she trusted Kent, she asked no questions. Instead, she just leaned in and locked lips with him.
Kent accepted the kiss, and they stayed like that for a couple of minutes.
“I will be leaving this with you. Give it to Lilian, who refuses to enter the tower until she becomes a High Mage.
“Also, tell her we should meet before the auction and convince her to meet else I won’t be buying anything for her during the auction.”
“Are you threatening her?” Selene asked, and Kent nodded.
“I need to be at least seen with her by everyone before the auction. This way, I can just ask her, Lilian and Elsa to join me. Of course, if they had listened to my offer and just kissed me in front of the gate, I wouldn’t be threatening her now.”
“You…”
Saintess Selene wanted to retort, but she stopped when Kent locked her lips. “Do you want to go a few rounds? I will be leaving for alchemy training soon.”
“I would love to,” the Saintess said, becoming happy instantly as she began removing her clothes.
Meanwhile, Saintess Neomi was on her way to inform Kent about Randy finally picking a time and venue for their duel.
