But it didn’t go as planned.
First, she got lectured by a brat who knows only one thing: cause trouble.
Then, her one true disciple was hexed by the brat she was after rendering her incapable of attacking him even if she wanted to.
Then, she was threatened by a mere Spear Saintess, which shook her to the bones. The aura displayed by the Spear saintess was just too much for her to do anything.
But that was a bad move on the saintess’s side. The fact that she had the power to threaten her doesn’t mean she hadn’t just put herself in the future crossfire of the Pill Saint.
Luckily, Kent wasn’t done, and thanks to his discovery, the Pill Saint not only became wary of him, but she might have just found herself in a rather unscrupulous situation.
She will remain weak in front of Kent for as long as he wants.
Basically, she came to humiliate and perhaps destroy, but it all backfired on her.
Now, standing at the entrance of the Divine Palace sect, surrounded by thousands of disciples, is the Pill Saint, popularly known as the Wicked Poison Witch…and her pale, arrogant disciple.
She was now staring at the Gate Masters, specifically the Sword Gate Master Mara, who was still not relaxed. The Wicked Poison Witch was still around, so the last thing she would do was remain relaxed.
The sect came this close to getting destroyed, and as it stood, there was yet another chance it might actually be the case.
Luckily for them, the Poison Witch loves her disciple so much that she wouldn’t dare try to put her life in danger.
Kent’s in the sect, so if she tries anything funny, who is to say what the life connection between her and Kent entails?
It could be that there are many things that will come into play, like Kent actually having the power to kill her anytime he wants.
She cannot risk it.
Now, she is being tied down by just a simple human who has just entered the Root Saint stage. It just doesn’t make sense.
“I will be leaving today. There won’t be a next time,” the Wicked Poison Witch said before taking her disciple’s hand. The next second, they were surrounded by a mist of poison, and they vanished.
It was after they were gone that everyone could breathe a sigh of relief. The Gate master, elders, and disciples around all heave a sigh of relief…
Then it hit them…
“Just who is that kid… How can he be so composed and even question a Pill Saint like she was her equal? And it is the Wicked Poison Witch no less?” a disciple wondered, making a few others nod.
“You’re asking the wrong question,” another disciple joined in. “He was clearly poisoned for a minute there, so just how was he able to suddenly recover?”
This question was actually the right one, as many began speculating.
Kent had indeed been poisoned for a minute, so how was he able to handle the poison and not only survive but also appear as if he had never been in danger to begin with?
“I saw him do something similar about a week ago. It was when the Gate Master tried suppressing him. He just snapped his fingers, and it was like everything coming from the Gate Master was canceled,”
Another disciple said, and once again, many entered a contemplative state.
“Does that mean he has a skill that can cancel anything—from debuffs to poisons and even the aura of a Root Transcendent?”
This question was like a wake-up call to many.
A few of them were there when Kent first arrived at the sect with his master and was stopped by the gate master. They could clearly tell the gate master was suppressing him.
It was visible in the sudden change that appeared on Kent’s face and his master’s back then. But to those who witnessed it, they could tell it wasn’t that simple.
Kent not only changed all of a sudden; it was as if he had rendered the gate master useless in an instant.
Now, they saw a similar thing, and people began making wild assumptions.
“If he can truly cancel everyone’s abilities, then wouldn’t that make him the most dangerous person in the world?” a disciple almost screamed his heart out.
“I don’t think it’s that simple.”
“How so? We clearly saw him turn from pale to red, and then, with just a snap of his fingers, he returned to his handsome pale self. How do you explain that?”
“That… I don’t have an explanation now, but I don’t think he can just render anyone useless in front of him. There has to be a limit to his ability.”
“I mean, if he can take away or entirely block someone from using their abilities, wouldn’t that be just too much for a single person?”
“True. There has to be a limit.”
“But… and this is a long but. But what if there isn’t a limit, and he can actually turn anyone in front of him into a banana?”
“Then that means the entire world would now try to learn this ability of his, or perhaps… you know.”
The disciples fall silent as they suddenly reach that spot.
It has only been a few minutes since the altercation, but word has already started reaching thousands. Soon, the news will spread beyond the sect’s walls, already making its way to the outside world.
People will come to know of the disciple in the Divine Palace Sect who has the ability to cancel out even poisoning. Then, they will learn that it has already been used twice—and it worked like magic.
Since that is the case, greed will begin to surface, driving people to seek him out and try to buy his ability.
But when they realize he won’t comply, they will try to kill him—after all, having such a wildcard around would do them no good.
If he were ever used against them, how else would they deal with it?
“And what the fuck is that magnificent yet terrifying look metal that appeared for a couple of seconds…”
