Kent then learned more about her life inside the sect and how she loved it here. In the end, Kent decided to make her first time with him as memorable as it could be.
Also, he knew he couldn’t separate her from her master, so though he knew he would face more broken bones and physical torture in the coming days, he decided he would become friends with her master, the Spear Saintess…
…and possibly get into her pants one way or the other.
“So in this sect, it doesn’t matter how rich you are; to make a living here, you must have something we call Divine Points. Every disciple lives on Divine Points. Of course, there is also a way to use your wealth here.
But sect activities don’t require spirit stones…
You may have received a crystal token from your master. That token is where your points are stored and can be used to buy food, skill books, and other necessary resources while inside and from the sect.
“Of course, if you’re rich , you can go outside and buy them using spirit stones, but while inside the sect, you must and will only be able to spend Divine points,” Ingrid said, making Kent take out the crystal token he received from his master.

They were still on their way from his master’s mansion toward the inner area of the Sword Gate.
“Say, I want more points. How do I get them?” Kent asked.
“You earn points from missions. In the sect, there are various missions you can pick from that will earn you some points. Most of these missions are internal, but some are external.
In your case, most of your missions will be external since you are an Inner Disciple and a Grandmaster Swordsman. That said, missions are also structured as Low, Medium, and High in the inner area.
There are very High, Calamity and Hell missions in the Core Area. Though you will find out soon enough, it’s best if you pick a medium mission for now. High missions are too dangerous and wouldn’t be ideal for someone at your current status.”
“What is that supposed to mean?” Kent gave her the ‘bruh’ look, making Ingrid smile.
“Missions from the High grade upward are just too dangerous for someone of your status. I’m not looking down on you. I’m just telling you the facts.
Take, for example, a mission to accompany a merchant family from one kingdom to the next through the Dark Forest. You won’t only be on the lookout for bandits; you’ll also have to handle beast attacks.
While in some cases, you can be lucky and sail through smoothly, those are just rare occasions.
So, you might want to take on a Medium mission for now and handle the tougher ones later. Of course, if you want, you can pick the mission as a team, but in the end, you’ll have to share the points.”
“I see. That is informative, and I will do well to know my level,” Kent nodded. “But in case you need a teammate, don’t hesitate to let me know.”
Ingrid nodded. She was already considering it, given that she had never met someone with Kent’s talent. Of course, she also wasn’t about to pull him into a Very High mission… Not just yet.
“Then aside from missions, is there a way for me to earn Divine Points?” Kent asked. Surely, there must be a way.
“Yes, there is indeed a way. There are two more ways, actually. The first one is to go to the duel hall and pick a duel challenge. Most inner and core disciples like to show off their skills and talents, so they place challenges.
This challenge comes with a price tag. If you win, you earn those prizes.
As for the second one, it’s more like the sect will sponsor you to bring them glory by accepting challenges from other sects that want to show off their disciples.
Mostly, these challenges are arranged by the various Gate Masters for their disciples, but if you want, you can pick one up from the duel hall, and the sect will make it happen.”
“…Hmm, looks like this place won’t be boring at all. I guess I will pick a few challenges when I am done learning more about this place.”
Kent was genuinely happy so far with what Ingrid had revealed to him. He wanted a challenge to practice more, so having these many options would surely be useful.
“If you want a challenge, you can enter the upcoming Sect competition in 4 months’ time.
Only core disciples will be participating, considering this is just the preliminary event to select the 12 who will represent the kingdom in the Kingdom Genius Competition.

Kent could only smile, watching as hundreds of people began reporting on his sudden appearance. He, of course, didn’t mind and simply continued moving through with Ingrid.
The moment they entered the Spear Gate, Kent sensed a powerful aura locking onto him. He immediately recognized who it belonged to but just shrugged.
It seemed the Sword Gate Master was somehow taking asylum in the Spear Gate after Kent and his Master had refused to see her a couple of times already.
‘This lady just doesn’t give up, does she?’ Kent said inwardly.
[Maybe the master should just tame her,] Gaia said, making Kent trip. Luckily, Ingrid caught him before he could fall.
Unfortunately, this sudden closeness was captured by some disciples, who immediately began spreading the word that Kent and Ingrid were dating.
This made many very angry, one of them being Randy, the guy who was with Ingrid when she first met Kent at the Silver Leaf auction house.
