The moment Vexthra’s voice sounded in Saintess Selene’s head, her body stiffened, a shocked expression painting her face.
“Told ya,” Kent said with a smile.
Saintess Selene was indeed shocked. For a moment, she thought Kent was just messing with her when he said he had a goddess as a wife; however, the moment the voice entered her mind, she got her answer.
“Hello, are you there?” Vexthra spoke again. “I know this is shocking, but whatever that bastard said is true. I am his first wife, and I am also a goddess… Your new sister.”
Saintess Selene gulped and then used the connection to answer, fully realizing this was happening. As much as she wanted to think this was just a dream, she knew this was reality, and it was unfolding right in front of her.
“Nice meeting you. I am Selene,” she replied, bringing a smile to Vexthra’s face. Vexthra immediately linked her up with the rest of her sisters.
“Welcome, Big Sister Selene,” Unity greeted warmly, followed by Lilian and Elsa. By the time the three were done, Selene knew this wasn’t a dream at all.
“Now that we’ve all introduced ourselves, how about we get down to business?” Vexthra said, drawing the attention of the three ladies and their newly added sister.
Kent watched the expression on Selene’s face and smiled. He knew Vexthra was handling things in her way, so he simply leaned back and let her finish.
“Tell us, Sister Selene, what has Kent told you so far?”
Selene, understanding their question, went ahead and shared what Kent had explained about dual cultivation. She didn’t mention anything about Kent being a dragon, assuming they already knew.
“So, you already know that in the future, more ladies will be joining us, right? Are you fine with that?” Vexthra asked.
“I don’t mind, and I am happy with the decision to become his woman,” she said, trying to sound bold.
The four ladies smiled, knowing she was just putting on a brave front. Of course, they had all been like her just a few weeks ago, so it was normal.
“Then you should also know that since you are the strongest so far, you will have to do more and help him raise his cultivation base. This means you will have to have more sex with your beloved disciple,”
Vexthra said, intentionally using the master-disciple relationship between Selene and Kent to make her blush—and it worked.
“Now that we’ve settled that, how about we catch her up on our plan?” Lilian suggested, knowing this was one of the main reasons they had formed this council.
Selene, sensing the shift in tone, knew it was time to focus on something important, so she chose to listen. It felt strange, but she knew it would soon become normal.
“So, our plan is simple. Since we are now Kent’s women, we plan to find more beautiful and capable ladies for him. Of course, they don’t have to be stronger than him, but if they are, that’s fine, too.
It will even be better if they are much stronger than him.
The reason I’m saying this is because of a certain aspect of Kent. It was a secret at first, but he gave me the go-ahead, so I want to share it.
According to Kent, when he adds new women, he receives certain benefits from us. First, he gains a random skill from our arsenal. Second, he gets a boost in his stats. Most importantly, he receives a portion of the spiritual energy we absorb during cultivation.
This means that if there are dozens of us, the more we cultivate, the stronger he gets. That’s why I came up with this plan and formed this council. We’re here to ensure our man grows stronger and faster.”
Vexthra’s words made the four ladies’ eyes widen. Selene, of course, glanced at the sleeping Kent, and for a moment, she wanted to punch him.
However, she stopped when Vexthra spoke again.
“I know this may sound like he’s using us, but in truth, we are actually the ones who will benefit the most. If you don’t believe me, why don’t you all ask Elsa what happened to her?”
Elsa smiled and decided to share her story.
“When Kent added me to the harem, I triggered a True Name. Of course, I had no idea what that was, but after talking to Big Sister, I learned it was something only Kent could grant.
Long story short, when Kent invoked this True Name, I changed. Everything about me changed—even my body was reborn. From that, I became a new person.
Now, I have a strong connection to the soul and am in the process of awakening half of my bloodline. Even without it, I’m incredibly powerful now, and it’s all thanks to Kent.
He not only changed my life but, by loving me, he also changed my destiny. Now, I can boldly say that giving him a part of our cultivation or even a piece of our soul doesn’t compare to the reward he gave me.”
Vexthra continued.
“He told me we will all eventually receive True Names and unlock our hidden potentials. So, while you may think this is a one-sided benefit, think again.
For now, we can only wait for him to grant us True Names but know that the moment we accepted the decision to become his woman, our destinies were bound to change.
Kent is someone even I can’t compare to—and I am a goddess.”
The past weeks had been about Vexthra thinking about a lot of things. In fact, she had started to think that maybe, when she received the tower for safekeeping, that was when she truly became his.
Even she began to wonder if Kent finding himself inside the realm of hatred and resentment wasn’t by accident. Because of this, she was convinced that Kent was someone she couldn’t even look down on.
“So, since we all know there is a great reward waiting for us, we should also do our best to love our man and make him very happy.” The four ladies nodded, knowing that what Vexthra said was indeed true.
Even Saintess Selene was starting to see the positive side of things. First, she noticed how much more lively her life had become since meeting Kent. Now, she had four sisters, and one of them was even a goddess. How awesome was that?
She felt happy inwardly.
“So, Sister Selene, do you regret becoming his woman?” Vexthra asked.
“No. I am happy, and I’m even planning to make my sister one of his women soon,” she replied with a smile, making the four ladies smile as well.
“Nice one. Now, since you are one of us, it’s time for me to create a new cultivation technique for you.”
They continued their chat for hours while Vexthra worked on her cultivation technique.
While this was happening, Kent was busy examining the crazy skill he had received from Selene. In fact, he wasn’t sure how to perceive this new skill. It felt as though the universe had chosen to reward him through Selene.
He knew for a fact that his master didn’t have this skill, so it seemed only natural that perhaps the universe had played a hand in this.
And he was right. The universe had indeed played a hand in this. He had, once again, become a monster who would soon rule this world…
