“Champion Leon?”
“Using only one is too boring. Let’s use all of them!”
“All of them? You only have one Dynamax, which is a big disadvantage for you.”
Leon smiled, spreading his hands to the audience on stage.
“This is the pinnacle of true power! My Pokémon and I will use all our strength to fight you! So I hope you can also use all your strength!”
“It’s precisely because I know you have all these abilities that I want to battle against Dynamax, Z-Moves, and Mega Evolution all at once! And then defeat him! What do you all think? Do you want to see a battle where everyone gives their all?!”
The audience’s enthusiasm instantly ignited, and cheers erupted like thunder. Seeing this, the referee could only nod in agreement. This battle was filled with tension before it even began.
“How confident! In that case, I have no choice.”
Gui Ling clutched a Poké Ball in his hand. After he tossed it into the air, all the Galar particles suddenly began to stir.
What appeared before everyone was a Pokémon they had never seen before—Eternatus.
Under Eternatus's control, the Galar particles entered Leon's Dynamax Band, which immediately erupted with intense Dynamax energy.
“According to my calculations, you should be able to use Dynamax three times. This makes it a bit fairer. Come back, Eternatus.”
Leon watched Eternatus being recalled into its Poké Ball again, his gaze firmly fixed on Gui Ling.
“You really managed to catch Eternatus!”
“By luck.”
“No, anything is possible with you, just like the miracles you speak of!”
“Then, let the battle begin!”
With the referee’s command, the match officially started. Leon sent out Cinderace first. Cinderace radiated scorching flames, let out a roar, and charged towards Gui Ling’s side of the field.
“Interesting. If I remember correctly, its ability is Libero. Then I must take it down quickly!”
To take down a powerful Pokémon like Cinderace, strong control and furious attacks are necessary. So…
“Go, Darkrai!”
Darkrai flew out of its Poké Ball, surrounded by an eerie black glow. Its eyes gleamed with a faint light, staring coldly at Cinderace.
“Flamethrower!”
Darkrai dodged the flame attack with an agile flash, then immediately charged at Cinderace.
“Dark Pulse!”
Cinderace, using its Libero ability, instantly changed its type and met the Dark Pulse with a Fighting-type move. The two collided, unleashing a powerful energy shock.
The audience's cheers were deafening. They stared intently at the arena, afraid of missing any exciting moment. Leon stood on one side of the field, his eyes focused as he directed Cinderace. Gui Ling, however, had a smirk on his face, seemingly plotting his next attack.
Just then, Gui Ling clapped his hands, then made a 'one' gesture. Darkrai, seeing this gesture, immediately understood Gui Ling's next intention.
Darkrai attacked again, using Hypnosis to try and put Cinderace to sleep. Cinderace cleverly dodged the hypnotic beam, then accelerated and charged at Darkrai, hitting it hard with a close-combat move.
“You fell for it! I wanted you to close the distance with a close-combat move! Darkrai! Get him!”
Darkrai instantly released a powerful shadow force, enveloping Cinderace. The shadow force continuously eroded Cinderace’s body, making its movements gradually slow down.
“Oh no!”
Leon frowned deeply, immediately recalling Cinderace.
“Cinderace, Gigantamax!”
Leon threw out a large Poké Ball. Cinderace burst into dazzling light, completing its Gigantamax, becoming colossal in size, with flames at its feet seemingly ready to devour everything.
Darkrai was knocked back by this powerful impact, falling to the ground.
“This works? It knocked out a Mythical Pokémon without even using a move?”
Only now did Gui Ling truly understand how extraordinary Leon’s Pokémon were.
Although his Darkrai was not as strong as the one in the Spear Pillar, it had previously managed to block the attacks of the two Spatial-Temporal deities.
“Interesting. I don’t often use Dynamax, I just underestimated him a bit. Today I’ve truly seen it. But I’m quite good at other things, Darkrai!”
Gui Ling placed a Darkium Z into his Z-Ring, then channeled energy into Darkrai.
“Dark Hole Devours All!”
Darkrai emanated a furious dark aura, then condensed a massive Dark Hole and hurled it at Cinderace.
“Alright, Cinderace! Let’s settle this with one move! G-Max Fireball!”
Cinderace kicked the fireball it was standing on forward, directly confronting Darkrai’s Z-Move.
The clash of the two powers illuminated the entire battle arena. This was a contest between Dark and Fire types.
After the light dissipated, both Darkrai and Cinderace looked a bit disheveled.
This powerful clash of forces directly reverted Cinderace to its original form.
“Darkrai, use Shadow Sneak!”
Darkrai transformed into a black shadow, instantly appearing behind Cinderace and attacking fiercely. Cinderace cried out in pain, but suddenly activated its Libero ability to change its type, countering with a Fighting-type move.
“Good opportunity! Dark Void!”
Seeing Cinderace charging forward, Darkrai unleashed a Dark Void directly at close range, causing Cinderace to immediately faint after being hit.
“Dream Eater!”
At this point, the outcome was sealed. Cinderace’s last bit of strength was absorbed by Darkrai, and it lost its ability to battle.
“Cinderace is unable to battle!”
“Come back, Cinderace! Go, Inteleon!”
“This guy does a lot of damage… Come back, Darkrai. So, next up… Ceruledge!”
After Ceruledge was summoned, its entire body was enveloped in a black, shadow-like substance. Finally, its two blades collided, erupting with fierce Netherworld Flames.
“Your Ceruledge seems different from before.”
Leon was quite curious to see Ceruledge in this state. He remembered very clearly that this very Ceruledge had previously ended his undefeated streak.
“It gained an opportunity. You just need to know it’s stronger now than it was before.”
“Is that so? Then I want to try it even more! Use Snipe Shot!”
Inteleon coolly extended its hands, making a gun gesture, and then two powerful energy blasts rapidly struck Ceruledge.
Inteleon had previously heard that Charizard and Rillaboom had both been defeated by this Ceruledge. It felt like it had heard the funniest joke in the world and never took it seriously.
Now that ridiculous thing was right in front of him, and he only wanted to break this somewhat absurd joke.
“It seems the opponent’s expression doesn’t take us seriously.”
No sooner had Gui Ling’s voice fallen than Inteleon’s Snipe Shot was almost upon Ceruledge, but in the next second, Ceruledge instantly vanished from its spot.
“You’re very arrogant, aren’t you?”
Just as Inteleon was a bit bewildered by the vanished Ceruledge, Ceruledge’s voice immediately appeared behind him. The powerful aura and sudden Astonish made him sweat profusely, too scared to move.
“Where does your arrogant thought and excessive confidence come from?”
Inteleon immediately flashed to the side, as if this single movement had drained all his strength. He stood in place, panting heavily, looking at the monstrous Ceruledge before him, as fear slowly crept into his heart.
“It didn’t even attack just now. This Ceruledge has truly become stronger!”
Leon also became serious seeing this situation. Noticing Inteleon’s poor state, he was about to recall him when Ceruledge appeared behind Inteleon again.
His left blade glowed with intense shadow power, and his right hand radiated fierce Netherworld Flames. Shadow Claw and Bitter Blade, two moves, simultaneously struck Inteleon's vital points, instantly finishing him off.
“Inteleon is unable to battle!”
“So strong! You are absolutely the strongest Ceruledge I have ever seen! No other! I am impressed!”
Ceruledge looked at the serious Leon and gave him a knight’s salute.
“You flatter me. Great power, of course, is meant for protection.”
“Gui Ling has trained you very well. I’m looking forward to this battle even more! Go, Dragapult!”
“Come back, Ceruledge! Go, Noivern!”
“Dragon-type versus Dragon-type? Interesting!”
Gui Ling touched the Key Stone on his wrist, smiled, and said.
“But my Noivern is different, Mr. Leon. I hope you can handle this move! The wrath of the Sound Wave Dragon!”
“I’ve updated as much as I could. This battle will probably take two more chapters.”
