“Human, you can’t escape!” Senren shouted angrily as he charged straight at John.
“Really troublesome!” John gritted his teeth and once again activated Heaven and Earth Transformation, charging toward Senren.
The others were also engaged with the Bloodthirst Beasts and Corrupted Demon-Human army.
For a moment, the group was put on the defensive.
“Spoorate!” John called out, summoning the massive sword of The Immortals’ Legacy.
Spoorate understood immediately, leaping onto John’s outstretched hand.
“Slash!” John roared, using the power of Spoorate to swing the enormous sword with all his might, aiming directly at Senren.
Boom!
A resounding explosion echoed as the terrifying energy surged. Senren was momentarily knocked back by the force of the blow.
“What a powerful weapon!” he exclaimed, not suffering any injuries, his eyes locked on the massive sword in John’s hand.
He could feel it-John wasn’t simply strong; it was the sword itself that was incredibly strange.
“Big brother, make some noise! I feel like that big guy is close by!” Spoorate reminded him.
“Got it!” John’s eyes lit up as Chaos Force surged through his body. He raised the massive sword high.
“Creation and Destruction!” he bellowed. This was the first time he had used the The Immortals’ Legacy sword to perform a divine skill.
Whoosh!
In an instant, the Chaos Force, the power of the Necromancer, and his spiritual energy were all devoured by the technique.
Thankfully, the divine skill was successfully unleashed, and the giant sword came crashing down. A blinding sword beam sliced through the air, tearing apart the space itself, causing it to dissolve into nothingness.
The surrounding space instantly collapsed, forming a massive black hole that began to devour everything around it.
Screams echoed as several Bloodthirst Beasts and Corrupted Demon-Humans, caught off guard, were sucked into the black hole, instantly annihilated.
“Damn, that’s so powerful!” John was taken aback by the sheer force of the strike.
But then, his expression changed. The black hole didn’t dissipate—it was still growing.
“Not good, move!” He quickly shouted, protecting the others as they rushed to get away. Senren also realized the danger of the black hole and hastily fled.
Buzz!
At that moment, the space trembled, and an overwhelming suppressive force arrived, stopping the black hole from expanding any further.
“Huh, what is this?” John was shocked.
According to Gaka, the entire Dark City was under Skybroke’s World-in-Hand.
But now, Skybroke had perished. The world should have been without a master, so where was this force coming from?
“Could it be… this world has a consciousness of its own?” John thought, incredulously.
Senren watched as the enormous black hole was suppressed and slowly began to close, letting out a relieved sigh.
“Human, accept your fate. You won’t escape today. If you cooperate, I won’t kill you,” he said coldly.
What he valued was John’s talent, as well as Sini’s Power of the Nine Nether. At the very least, he had no intention of harming the two of them.
“Hmph, you really think you can catch us?” John sneered. He could already hear the sounds of battle coming from a distance. It seemed like Forest King and the others were closing in.
“My Lord!” At that moment, a Black Magician rushed over in a panic, kneeling before Senren with trembling hands, and said, “Bad news, the Nine Phoenix Emperor is coming.”
“What? Nine Phoenix Emperor?” Senren exclaimed, his expression changing slightly. Could that person know about the King’s Conference plan?
The subordinate continued, “My Lord, Forest King is also here. It seems he’s come to rescue Spoorate.”
They had already figured out that Spoorate was Forest King’s daughter.
“I see…” Senren relaxed, his face darkened. He coldly said, “Since they dare to barge into Dark City, there’s no need to wait for the King’s Conference. Quickly, set up the Demon’s Sky
Formation. Capture Nine Phoenix Emperor!”
“Yes, my Lord.” The Black Magician bowed respectfully before quickly retreating.
John had overheard their conversation, his expression growing grave.
The Demon’s Sky Formation was terrifying; even Gaka had been trapped by it once, only managing to escape by hiding in the underground tunnels.
He wasn’t sure how strong the Nine Phoenix Emperor really was.
“We need to break through!” he said coldly, his voice decisive as he moved to join forces with Forest King.
As long as they didn’t allow them the time to set up the Demon’s Sky Formation, they should
be fine.
“Human, it’s useless. Dare to enter my Dark City, and you will die for sure,” Senren said, seeing through their intentions. He struck decisively, blocking their path while giving his Black Magicians time to prepare the Demon’s Sky Formation.
Clang!
Suddenly, a loud phoenix cry echoed through the air. A tremendous explosion followed, and a sea of flames surged. In the sky, a gigantic firebird phantom appeared, with nine heads!
Nine Phoenix Emperor!
“Fire Element, The Heaven’s Power of Laws!” John exclaimed, watching the raging flames coming from the distance.
This wasn’t ordinary fire. The grey sky around them was suddenly bathed in a deep crimson
hue.
Even Senren’s dark The Heaven’s Power of Laws was effortlessly melted by the flames. “Spoorate, John, are you alright?” Forest King’s massive form appeared, leading an army
toward them.
Beside him was a woman clad in a magnificent red robe, her overwhelming aura radiating around her. The Black Demon Bombs flying toward her exploded as they neared, but only caused ripples in the air, not even disturbing the edges of her robes.
So strong!
John was stunned. This must be the Nine Phoenix Emperor-her strength far surpassed
Gaka’s.
But that made sense. Gaka had been imprisoned in the Tower of Death for thousands of years, his power almost entirely devoured, unable to display his true Emperor might.
“Nine Phoenix Emperor! Forest King!” Senren gritted his teeth, glaring at the two of them.
“You dare to invade Dark City? You truly seek death!”
Nine Phoenix Emperor gave a faint smile and calmly said, “Senren, long time no see.”
John quickly rejoined the group and spoke, “Senior, he’s about to set up the Demon’s Sky
Formation. We should leave here as quickly as possible.”
Forest King had once mentioned that four Emperors had teamed up to confront Dark City, and
they had all suffered significant losses.
One of them had been the Nine Phoenix Emperor.
John wasn’t sure whether the group was strong enough to face Senren head-on.
“Hmph, now you want to leave? It’s too late! You will stay here today!” Senren snarled, his
face contorting in fury. He raised his staff, and endless dark The Power of Laws surged around
him.
“Demon’s Sky Formation, activate!” he roared, as several light pillars flashed around them, covering the Celestial Vault, and the Demon’s Sky Formation took shape.
John’s expression changed, and he looked to the two others for guidance. However, Nine Phoenix Emperor remained calm, showing no sign of panic. She looked at Senren and spoke casually, “Do you think I would dare to enter Dark City without
preparation?”
She raised her hand, and a wave of spatial energy rippled through the air. A white-clad man appeared, radiating a strong aura. He wasn’t an Emperor-level powerhouse, but his strength was on par with the mid-ninth-tier of the stars.
Heavenly King?
Forest King had mentioned that he invited both Nine Phoenix Emperor and Heavenly King for this mission. This white-clad man was most likely the Heavenly King.
But he was only a ninth-tier powerhouse-could he really break the Demon’s Sky Formation? “Heavenly King!” Senren’s expression shifted slightly, and he immediately turned to the leader of the Bloodthirst Beasts, barking orders, “Quickly, notify the Baron and Lord of the
Celestial Vault!”
“Yes, my Lord!” The Bloodthirst Beast nodded seriously and vanished in a flash.

At that moment, the Demon’s Sky Formation activated, and black magical spheres rained down from the sky, surrounding John and the others.
“Heavenly King, please.” Nine Phoenix Emperor turned to the white-clad man, speaking
politely.
John was a bit confused. He felt like the Heavenly King had a higher standing than even an
Emperor.
“A mere Demon’s Sky Formation?” The Heavenly King stood with his hands behind his back, his voice calm but his expression extremely arrogant.
John studied him curiously. Could this man have a special talent that counteracts formations?
Before John could ask, the Heavenly King’s surroundings rippled with The Power of Laws. A massive, self-contained space appeared, directly isolating the effects of the Demon’s Sky
Formation.
This was World-in-Hand!
John realized what was happening.
This Heavenly King was also a World-in-Hand user, which explained why Nine Phoenix
Emperor treated him with such respect.
“Let’s go!” John quickly reminded the others.
The power of World-in-Hand barely managed to block the Demon’s Sky Formation’s attacks,
but it couldn’t shatter it just yet.
If they waited for the Celestial Vault or other reinforcements to arrive, they would be in
danger.
Without hesitation, the group rushed toward the exit of Dark City, protected by the Heavenly
King.
“Damn it, none of you are getting away!” Senren roared angrily, pouring all his energy into the Demon’s Sky Formation, trying to trap them.
“Get out of the way!” With a light command, Nine Phoenix Emperor made her move. A Fire
Phoenix apparition appeared and directly forced Senren back. The entire Demon’s Sky Formation trembled slightly in response.
With the protection of the Heavenly King, the group was free from any worries and began relentlessly slaughtering the approaching armies of Black Magicians.
In just a brief skirmish, the Black Magicians had suffered heavy losses.
John and the others showed no signs of hesitation. They quickly pushed toward the outskirts
of the city.
As long as they could leave Dark City, no one would be able to stop them.
Senren, desperate and furious, disregarded everything and ordered his subordinates to
charge.
The Black Magicians, Bloodthirst Beasts, and Corrupted Demon-Humans continued to charge fearlessly, but they still could not halt the group’s advance.
Soon, the evil, dark The Power of Laws around them began to weaken, signaling that they had
reached the outer edges of Dark City.
“Senren, until we meet again!” Nine Phoenix Emperor cast a cold glance at him, stepping
forward and already crossing the boundary of Dark City.
Whoosh!
Following this, a wave of Spatial Power rippled through the air. In an instant, John and his
group disappeared from sight, teleported away.
“Damn it!” Senren chased after them to the city’s outskirts, gnashing his teeth in fury.
To capture John and his group, he had paid a heavy price.
The Tower of Death had been destroyed, his territory had been severely damaged, and in the
end, they had still managed to escape.
“My Lord!” A shadowy figure appeared before Senren, cautiously glancing at his enraged expression. “Medusa also escaped. He’s seen me-will this affect our plans?” The newcomer was none other than Shadow King, one of the seven great rulers.
He and Senren had already planned to make their move during the King’s Conference three
months from now, targeting those other rulers and Nine Phoenix Emperor.
The escape of Medusa could potentially ruin their plans.
“Hmph!” Senren sneered coldly and said disdainfully, “Don’t you know Medusa by now? He’s practically begging us to strike at the other rulers. If he knows about our plans, he’ll be more likely to stir up trouble rather than offer help. Besides, he only knows that we’ve allied-he doesn’t know our full plan.”
