A loud explosion echoed as scales shattered, and the Black Snake let out a piercing, sorrowful wail. A deep gash appeared on its body, blood pouring out in torrents.
How terrifying!
It was filled with dread, completely disregarding the injuries it had sustained. With a furious roar, it gathered the power of darkness, forming a massive black orb of dark energy. The orb surged toward John with a howling force.

This creature’s attack was nowhere near strong enough to cause the same level of damage to World-in-Hand as John’s strike with the Immortals’ giant sword. The aftermath of that attack alone had caused more harm than this dark orb ever could.
“Fool! Explode!” The Black Snake, confident in its own power, roared with fury. It unleashed the full force of the Dark Orb.
Boom!
A violent roar shook the World-in-Hand, and a small black hole appeared. The space itself cracked open, and the chaotic, devouring force of the black hole began to consume everything around it.
However, John remained completely unperturbed. The United Sword appeared in his hand.
“Creation and Destruction!” he shouted, his voice cold as ice. The United Sword slashed through the air, and a terrifying beam of sword light streaked out, carrying with it the power to destroy everything. But instead of destroying the world, it began to repair the broken space.
Even the Immortals’ giant sword could perform Creation and Destruction, though the cost was immense.
“It’s impossible!” The Black Snake stood frozen, its eyes wide with disbelief.
It had seen John use this move to destroy its World-in-Hand before, but now, this sword beam was actually repairing the shattered space.
It had never seen such a bizarre skill before.

The air hummed as the sword beam passed through. The broken space was swiftly restored, becoming even more stable than before.
Even the small black hole was obliterated.
“Die!” John’s voice was icy as he coldly declared the fate of the Black Snake.

The giant sword swung once more, the wind howling around it as it slashed down toward the Black Snake’s previously inflicted wound.

Blood splattered everywhere, and a heart-wrenching scream echoed through the space. Half of the snake’s tail was severed in an instant.
It had already been gravely injured, and this blow had nearly taken its life.
The sky was filled with black blood, which splattered onto the ground, sizzling as it touched the surface. The small amounts of vitality that had just been restored in the World-in-Hand withered away in an instant.
The Black Snake’s blood was also highly poisonous!

The swamp churned violently, and a few corpses of Two-headed Black Dragons and Swamp Giant Crocodiles floated to the surface.
It seemed that other magical beasts had been hiding here.
“Master really killed the Black Snake?” Xayah swallowed nervously, her eyes wide with disbelief.

The Black Snake was dead, but the two snake halves continued to twitch, causing the swamp within a radius of several thousand miles to become utterly muddled, now shrouded in pitch-black darkness.
“Big brother, can we eat the snake meat?” Spoorate suddenly asked.
John was momentarily stunned. Looking down at the swamp, tainted with black blood and heavy with the scent of death, he said, “Do you think you can eat that?”
Spoorate furrowed her brows, disappointed. “It seems it’s really not edible.”
After a long moment, the two halves of the Black Snake’s body grew still, no longer struggling, though black blood still seeped from the wound.
John made a face of disgust and waved at Avis, “Take out the magic core and see if there’s a Primordial Gourd.”
“Understood!” Avis replied excitedly.
He dove toward the water’s surface, his dragon claws grabbing hold of the lower half of the snake’s body.
Rip!
The snake’s body was torn apart. With the Black Snake’s death, its scales fell off, its defenses significantly weakened, and they no longer offered any resistance to Avis’s attacks.
The flesh scattered across the ground, but there was no magic core to be found.
Avis, looking displeased, discarded the lower half of the snake’s body and turned to the other segment.

Avis felt a chill run down his spine and quickly sped up, soaring toward the sailboat.
“Little girl, get off my back.” He spoke up immediately, fearing that Spoorate might bite him.
“Tch, so stingy. How much meat would I get from one bite of your big frame? It wouldn’t even be fatal.” Spoorate looked displeased.
Avis wobbled and promptly shook her off. A strong gust of wind howled as he shot into the air, flying as far away from her as possible.
“John, did you get the Primordial Gourd?” Sini walked over and asked.
John nodded. A thought passed through his mind, and the purple gourd appeared in his hand.
Xayah’s eyes lit up, then dimmed again.
She really wanted to take this Primordial Gourd as a reward, but she knew how powerful and rare it was. It would also be of great help to John.
