Renjiro laughed at the Genin's reaction. He thought,
"It's a pity that cat isn't lost right now."
He grabbed the paper, looked at the address, and said,
"Follow me."
The Genin followed him, but this time, Mieko and Hodaka moved very slowly.
Upon reaching the estate, Renjiro had the guard call Madam Saigo.
Feng Zheng observed the estate and found it to be enormous!
Mieko and Hodaka didn't react much, as their family estates were even larger.
A few minutes later, a lady arrived. She was around 40-45 years old, about 1.7 meters tall, with long golden hair, looking very mature and graceful in her demeanor.
She greeted them.
"Welcome, Lord Renjiro. It is an honor to have you here."
Renjiro nodded, handed her the paper. Then she looked at the children and said,
"So these powerful Ninja will complete my mission. I am lucky to find such capable Ninja as yourselves."
Upon hearing the praise, Mieko and Hodaka were both slightly pleased.
However, Feng Zheng knew that she was "teasing" them. He sighed inwardly.
"This mission doesn't need to be given to Ninja. The only reason she's doing this is for her own amusement. Alas, these rich old ladies need to find better hobbies."
She continued,
"Follow me, I'll take you to the garden."
The Renjiro Squad followed behind her. They arrived behind the enormous mansion.
Soon, the three of them were shocked. Madam Saigo said kindly,
"This is the garden where you'll be weeding."
Feng Zheng was speechless. He thought,
"A garden? Is this really a garden? Whose garden is several acres in size?"
Hodaka muttered,
"This is a garden?"
Mieko was about to explode, shouting,
"How can this be called a garden? This is..."
However, she was stopped by Renjiro. Madam Saigo immediately looked sad and said,
"Actually, I wanted at least dozens of acres, but unfortunately, Konoha doesn't have that much land anymore."
This once again left the Genin speechless. Mieko became even angrier. Renjiro just smiled and said,
"Enough talk, get to work."
The Genin started walking forward. Mieko quietly asked Feng Zheng,
"Hey, can we use Fire Dragon Technique, Wind Dragon Technique?"
Hodaka's spirits lifted upon hearing this. Feng Zheng was also interested in the idea. Although he certainly wouldn't actually do it. But Renjiro heard it and loudly announced,
"No Ninjutsu, no tools. And increase the Sealing Jutsu pressure you've been training with: Mieko increase by 1%, Feng Zheng increase by 2.5%, Hodaka increase by 5%."
Mieko lowered her head and walked forward. Feng Zheng said,
"Let's divide the garden into three sections, and each of us will clear one."
Hodaka and Mieko nodded helplessly and began to work.
Their muscles were still sore from the morning's training. But now there was even more work to do under increased pressure.
While they were busy, Madam Saigo returned to the mansion.
She walked onto the balcony facing the garden and had a servant prepare a chair, an umbrella, and some snacks for her and Renjiro.
She sat there supervising the children's work. This further annoyed the Genin. Feng Zheng muttered under his breath,
"First Hiruzen, now this lady. The shamelessness of this world is truly, truly powerful!"
The weeding continued. Feng Zheng finished his section in an hour and a half.
Then he prepared to return to Renjiro's side. As he walked back, Hodaka and Mieko both looked at him with angry eyes. He thought,
"Should I help them?"
A few seconds later, he dismissed the thought.
"No, there's no need."
He ignored them and left the garden.
He found a clean spot to sit down. Unfortunately, Renjiro flickered behind him and said,
"Run around this estate until they finish. At least one lap per minute."
This almost broke him, and he thought,
"What the hell? It's not my fault I finished quickly!"
However, he endured it, lowered his head, and began to run. Each lap was over a kilometer long.
15 minutes later, Hodaka joined him. Mieko worked for another half an hour.
Feng Zheng and Hodaka were both convinced she was deliberately stalling, and they glared at her several times.
When she finished, Feng Zheng and Hodaka stopped after completing their lap and glared at Mieko. Mieko giggled, thinking,
"You finished the mission before me, you deserve it."
That smile annoyed Hodaka, but Feng Zheng just sighed and said,
"I didn't expect that a powerful Uchiha would take two hours and fifteen minutes just to weed a garden."
Hodaka nodded quickly in agreement, saying,
"Yes, it's quite unexpected. Is this what she meant by 'I'll show the strength of the Uchiha'?"
These words made Mieko's face flush with anger and embarrassment.
She was about to respond angrily when Renjiro stopped her.
Madam Saigo stepped forward and said,
"Thank you for clearing the weeds from my garden, little Ninja. You did a great job."
This earned her Byakugan from the three of them, but she maintained her smile.
Then she handed Renjiro a piece of paper, and they left her estate.
They returned to the Hokage Building. Renjiro took his Genin to a room on the first floor.
He handed the paper to an employee there. The employee checked the paper, stamped it, and filed it.
Then he gave Renjiro a white package, and they left the room.
Renjiro took them to another room. There were also some employees working here.
One of them was a Chunin, the others were just ordinary civilians. Renjiro said,
"Remember this room. In the future, if you want to take on any missions, you can come here and ask the Chunin in charge. He will assign missions based on your preferences, past performance, and rank."
The Genin nodded.
Then they returned to the first-floor lobby. Renjiro said,
"That's all for today. In the future, we will perform one mission each week, and the rest of the training will continue as usual. Feng Zheng, you won't need to do your Samurai Swordsmanship training on mission days."
Feng Zheng nodded. Then Renjiro took out the white package he had received earlier. He said,
"This is our mission reward. We will distribute it in a 40-20-20-20 ratio: I get 40%, and you each get 20%. Please remember, when doing missions with others in the future, the reward is usually distributed this way, with the leader getting more than the other team members."
The Genin nodded, but all three had the same thought.
"But sensei, you didn't do any work at all!"
However, no one said it out loud. After the reward was distributed, the squad disbanded.
