Renjiro VS Tomio and the Chunin —
While his students engaged in battle, Renjiro himself was clashing with the enemy’s main combatants.
Like Masato, Renjiro was also restricted here, as he couldn't use most of his Earth Release Ninjutsu.
Renjiro observed his opponents, thinking to himself:
"One Jonin and five Chunin. It's been a long time since I faced such overwhelming odds. I wonder if they can hold out."
His opponents were also observing him. They were very nervous. Tomio thought:
"He's skilled in Earth Release and Water Release. This terrain should nullify most of his Earth Release Ninjutsu. And I can counteract his Earth Release Ninjutsu. Plus, he won't retreat because of his students, and might even be distracted by them. We have a chance!"
Having reached a conclusion, Renjiro threw six Shuriken at his opponents. Immediately, he performed several Hand Seals.
Shuriken Shadow Clone Technique.
The enemy Ninja were amused when they saw only six Shuriken flying towards them.
But when the Shuriken suddenly multiplied to hundreds, they were startled.
Tomio once again used the Water Wall Technique to block the Shuriken.
Renjiro sneered. This was exactly his intention.
Although protected by the Water Wall, it meant they couldn't see Renjiro. He grabbed his sword and charged at them.
Unfortunately, one of them was a Sensor Ninja, who shouted:
"He's charging at us!"
He was the Ninja who had previously sensed the Fire Release and Wind Dragon Technique. This shout put them on alert, ready to face him.
The moment the Water Wall collapsed, Renjiro flashed, appearing behind the shouting Chunin.
Before anyone could react, he attacked him with his sword, intending to cleave him in half.
Knowing he wasn't fast enough, the Chunin performed a Hand Seal. Renjiro ended up cutting a log.
The enemy Ninja breathed a sigh of relief, seeing the Sensor Ninja had used the Substitution Technique, and immediately attacked Renjiro.
However, Renjiro still sneered.
Although Renjiro's sword cut through the log, his sword emitted Chakra in the form of slashes. This was Samurai Swordsmanship.
While not as lethal as Feng Zheng's Wind Chakra slashes, it was still very damaging.
Kairan Tomio noticed this and quickly shouted:
"Watch out!"
And swiftly dodged the incoming slash.
This alerted all four Chunin. Three of them successfully jumped out of the way.
However, the last one was the closest to Renjiro. He also tried to jump, but was too slow.
The slash struck his knee, cutting his kneecap in half. He fell, screaming in pain.
Now, all five enemies were at least dozens of meters away from Renjiro. So he simply stepped forward and finished off the injured Ninja.
He looked at the Ninja of the Land of Tea and said coldly:
"Five more to go."
These words put great pressure on them.
Tomio understood that Renjiro wanted to demoralize them. He shouted:
"Get behind me!"
At the same time, he continued to retreat from Renjiro and performed several Hand Seals.
The remaining Chunin quickly moved behind Tomio.
Tomio unleashed Water Release: Water Dragon Technique.
Renjiro noticed the Hand Seals Tomio made and recognized them. But he just waited for him to complete the Ninjutsu.
Soon, Tomio expended a lot of Chakra and unleashed the Water Dragon Technique on Renjiro.
However, Renjiro merely flickered a few times, completely avoiding the Ninjutsu's attack trajectory, while muttering:
"What a waste of Chakra."
In an instant, Renjiro was already behind those Ninja, while the Water Dragon Technique merely hit the debris on the ground.
Then Renjiro tried to attack them from behind, but the enemy Ninja had already grasped Renjiro's fast-paced attacks.
The moment Renjiro appeared behind them, three of them simultaneously performed Hand Seals, each unleashing a Ninjutsu.
Water Release: Water Shuriken Technique.
Wind Release: Great Breakthrough Technique.
Fire Release: Fire Stream Technique.
The three Ninjutsu were released in sequence.
First, Water Shuriken were launched. Then, with the help of the Great Breakthrough Technique, their speed nearly doubled. Then, the Fire Stream was released into the Great Breakthrough Technique, making it incredibly lethal!
Renjiro was surprised and praised:
"Good teamwork!"
But, he just flickered again, causing the attack to miss once more. Seeing Renjiro's flicker, Tomio immediately performed a Hand Seal.
He unleashed Water Release: Water Bullet Technique.
Wherever Renjiro appeared, he fired Water Bullets. However, Renjiro easily dodged them, occasionally sending out a flying slash.
This stalemate continued for several minutes.
Tomio thought:
"Why isn't he worried about those kids?"
He observed the Genin out of the corner of his eye, and the result shocked him!
Only Masato was left alive in that battle, with three Genin ganging up on him.
Tomio's expression became very serious.
As of now, three fires had broken out in the destroyed forest area. A large amount of smoke covered the area, and visibility became very low.
The remaining forty bandits were initially confused about what was happening. But when they heard the explosions, they realized this was a Ninja battlefield.
They also noticed thick smoke rising from where the battle was taking place and all fled in terror.
Tomio and the four Chunin beside him were all panting heavily.
This brief engagement had consumed a lot of their Chakra. Renjiro, on the other hand, seemed like he was just warming up.
Renjiro noticed they were exhausted, and Tomio was checking on another battle. He thrust his sword into a log beneath him and performed a Hand Seal. This immediately put all five enemies on high alert.
In an instant, Renjiro accumulated a large amount of Chakra and activated his Ninjutsu.
Water Release: Waterfall Technique!
Tomio immediately performed Hand Seals, building a Water Wall again.
However, he was shocked by the sight before him. Renjiro spewed out a massive amount of water. They felt like:
"It's like a tsunami hitting us!"
Tomio and another Chunin created several Water Walls. However, it wasn't enough. The Waterfall swept all five of them away.
It also swept away the debris beneath them and extinguished one of the three raging fires.
All five of them were swept into the open area where the merchants and Renjiro's Shadow Clones were located.
Seeing them finally fall to the ground, Renjiro smiled.
Hit by such a powerful technique, all five suffered some injuries. They struggled to get up.
Tomio was the first to recover. He barely managed to get to his knees, breathing very heavily.
However, he soon discovered something that filled him with dread!
They were on the ground. Only one thought was in his mind, and then he jumped up at top speed, shouting:
"Oh no!"
As he jumped, Earth Spears emerged from the ground. All four Chunin were impaled. Only Tomio successfully escaped.
Soon, more spears emerged from the ground, piercing all four until Renjiro was sure they were dead.
Kairan Tomio witnessed all four of his subordinates being killed. He noticed that all other battles had also stopped.
He was horrified and fled in panic towards the Land of Tea.
However, Renjiro flickered in front of him, his sword in his right hand.
Just after Renjiro used that powerful Ninjutsu, the Genin had dealt with Masato and were watching the battle.
Renjiro looked at Tomio and said:
"You know, I'm surprised you chose to fight us in the Land of Fire's territory instead of the Land of Tea. If you had fought in the Land of Tea, at least you could have retreated, but here, all five of your units will be annihilated."
Tomio looked at Renjiro in horror and asked:
"Has Konoha recovered from the losses of the Third Shinobi World War and the Nine-Tailed attack?"
Renjiro said:
"Not quite. But Konoha is not something people like you can challenge."
Then he charged straight at Tomio. Tomio grabbed a kunai, ready to fight, but with just one strike, Renjiro cut off his head!
Feng Zheng, Mieko, and Hodaka witnessed this scene.
Renjiro moved fluidly, severing his enemy's head, and sheathed his sword as if he had done something trivial.
Hodaka praised upon seeing it:
"That was so cool."
Mieko snorted and said:
"He's just showing off!"
Feng Zheng nodded, agreeing with Mieko.
Renjiro glanced at his three students, who then flickered to his side.
Renjiro said:
"Good job. Analyze your battle situation thoroughly; I want to hear your analysis later."
The three nodded. Feng Zheng asked:
"Sensei, should we do anything about the bandits who fled?"
Renjiro looked at his Shadow Clones. Both simultaneously flickered towards the bandits. He replied:
"Leave them to my Clones. Although we won, I wouldn't be surprised if some of them hid, trying to ambush us when we let our guard down. Many Ninja who die in peacetime lose their lives due to a moment of carelessness."
The three nodded in response, absorbing their sensei's experience and knowledge.
