Nawaki retreated to Shin’s side, not rashly attacking Danzō again.
“Shin, what’s going on with Danzō?”

Nawaki clenched his fists.
Transplanting his grandfather’s cells—this was desecrating his grandfather’s body. Nawaki would never forgive Danzō.
“Whatever. I’m not interested in fighting him anyway.” Shin said calmly. If Danzō hadn’t attacked him, Shin wouldn’t have bothered with him.
Cold sweat dripped from Danzō’s forehead. He wanted to pick up his severed arm from the ground, but before he could touch it, it was engulfed in black, inextinguishable flames.
This black, inextinguishable flame was, of course, the Amaterasu black flames.
“Since I’ve already cut it off, don’t even think about getting it back,” Shin said with a cold smile.
“Damn you, Shin Uzumaki! I’ll kill you!” Danzō roared, his remaining left eye bloodshot, as if it would pop out.

Now that Danzō was finally dealt with, and Konoha was about to welcome a new Hokage, perhaps this was a new beginning for the village.
Jiraiya choosing Nawaki to be Hokage was also a calculated move. With Nawaki’s relationship with Shin, after Nawaki became Hokage, Konoha would be truly safe.
At least they wouldn’t have to worry about being targeted by Shin Uzumaki.
If Konoha faced a crisis in the future, they might even be able to ask Shin Uzumaki for help.
This was Jiraiya’s calculation…
