Shin watched as Hanabi attacked the immobilized Isobu with her Gentle Fist.
After a long while, Shin finally stopped her.
“Don’t your hands hurt?”
“A little.” Hanabi looked at her reddened fists. The Three-Tails’ skin was very tough—her attacks weren’t having any effect.
Shin thought Hanabi’s earlier actions were a bit foolish…
“Shin-sama, what is this big thing?” Just then, Karin and Hinata arrived.

“It’s the Three-Tails’ fault! I was fishing peacefully at the seaside, and then the Three-Tails suddenly appeared and scared me!”
Hanabi said, though she realized her excuse had revealed she’d been skipping her training…
“Are you injured?” Hinata asked Hanabi with concern.
Right now, Hinata wasn’t worried about Hanabi slacking off, but whether Hanabi had been injured earlier.
“Of course not! It’s just a turtle! I almost beat it to death!” Hanabi proudly puffed out her chest.
“Hehe” Shin chuckled at Hanabi. If you hadn’t run fast, you’d be the Three-Tails’ dinner by now—
“Shin-sama, what do you plan to do with the Three-Tails?” Karin asked Shin after curiously examining the Tailed Beast.
“Let it stay here for now.” Shin hadn’t decided how to deal with the Three-Tails.
The Akatsuki would probably come to collect it later. He didn’t know how this creature had managed to travel all the way from the lakes of the Land of Water to the Land of Whirlpools.
Let it stay here for now. Nagato Uzumaki can deal with it later. Shin was waiting for the Ten-Tails to be revived—naturally, he’d leave this to Nagato.
This Tailed Beast was useless to him anyway.
Though the major Hidden Villages valued Tailed Beasts highly, in Shin’s eyes, they weren’t very useful.

Hanabi’s expression stiffened. She racked her brains for an excuse…
“Um, Big Sister, my stomach wasn’t feeling well, so I was planning to catch a fish to make some soup to feel better—”
Hearing her ridiculous excuse, Shin mentally applauded her creativity.
Hanabi had barely managed to pass it off. Of course, the main reason was that Hinata didn’t pursue the matter.

“By the way, just take me alone.” Kushina lowered her voice and secretly told Shin.
“Alright. But when we get back, don’t let me take the blame.”
“Relax. If Mikoto and the others have any objections, I’ll take all the responsibility. How about that?” Kushina assured Shin.
“What are you two whispering about so secretly?” Mei Terumī, seeing Shin and Kushina whispering, couldn’t help but walk over.

Kushina coughed lightly, signaling Shin not to reveal anything. She wanted to go out and play, but she wanted to go alone with Shin—she didn’t want to bring anyone else.

Mei Terumī’s expression turned somewhat awkward.
“Sorry, Mikoto-nee. I was wrong.”
