Fugaku Uchiha and Itachi Uchiha ended their conversation in disagreement. Itachi stormed out of the room.
Fugaku sighed, watching his son leave. In the end, he couldn’t bring himself to kill his own kin. He had steeled himself for it when he came, but ultimately, he couldn’t go through with it.
“Itachi, the next time we meet, we will be enemies. I will show no mercy to a traitor of the Uchiha Clan,” Fugaku resolved grimly.

Meanwhile, Itachi, having left the Uchiha compound, went straight to the Hokage Tower and revealed the Uchiha Clan’s plan to launch a coup d’état that very night to Hiruzen Sarutobi.
“Lord Hokage, I will personally annihilate the Uchiha Clan. But I have one condition: Sasuke must survive.”
Itachi was also prepared to kill his own kin, but his younger brother, Sasuke, was everything to him. He would protect Sasuke even with his own life.
“I will bear the burden of the massacre and join an S-rank missing-nin organization afterward.”

Now, Itachi would have to face the Uchiha Clan head-on. Even though the Uchiha Clan had weakened, they were still the strongest clan, their strength not to be underestimated.

Shin considered it. Honestly, he wasn’t interested in Itachi’s specific Mangekyō abilities.
What Shin was interested in were Itachi’s Three Sacred Treasures.
Itachi’s Susanoo possessed the Totsuka Blade, the Yata Mirror, and the Yasaka Magatama.
While the Yasaka Magatama could be used by any Susanoo, the Totsuka Blade and Yata Mirror were exclusive to Itachi.
“They might not be that useful, but I might as well copy them.”
