Then, the woman quickly turned around and approached the encapsulated mercenaries. Arthur immediately understood her intentions and sprung into movement. He dashed forward, disappearing like a flash of lightning.
He reached the woman in a split second and sent a flying kick toward her face. The attack passed through her body without dealing damage. Meanwhile, the woman put her hand on the ice wall, and with a simple touch, a ripple burst the ice into tiny shards.
“Goddamit!” Arthur landed on his feet and lunged at the woman again with his sword driving forward, ready to stab her before she turned invincible again.
However, he wasn’t fast enough. The sword plunged into the nothingness, passing through as if it touched a ghost.
‘Fuck!’ he cursed inwardly as he quickly shifted his grip and pulled the sword out before she can trap it again.
At the same time, the lifeless mercenary dolls slowly left the ice trap and walked toward the woman in unison. They didn’t look at Arthur nor did they acknowledge the threat they were facing.
The woman had completely trapped them in her illusion, not sparing them at all. Her abilities were simply far too strong to counter and the only person who could do it was Arthur.
‘What the hell am I supposed to do? Nothing seems to work. Whenever I try to attack her, she becomes invincible. The only time I can get her is when she’s using the ripples. But, she’s smart enough to know exactly when she’s supposed to use it and when she isn’t.’
Arthur didn’t think the monster would be that smart in battle. But, the fact it looked exactly like a seductive woman made him realize that it was far from just a normal monster. It had a consciousness and an ability to comprehend the situation on an almost human level.
‘I need to think of a solution quickly!’ Arthur looked around him quickly, searching for any solution. There was basically nothing on the deck to use, including the ship itself.
“AGH! Screw this!!”
Arthur yelled as he channeled his mana to the extreme and dashed forward. At the same time, he activated Berserker’s Wrath to amplify his power even more. If smart plans weren’t an option, then Arthur decided to simply use brute force till he could kill her.

Then, he quickly closed the distance between him and the woman and in a split second rained down endless slashes and attacks on her. Using all his 70 points of strength, he tried to give her no room to deflect or attack back.
Meanwhile, the woman stood there, not moving as she let Arthur slash through her body without doing any damage. Her eyes kept staring at him, trying to make him fall for her charm. But, the boy wasn’t affected at all.
Instead, his anger and aggression only grew stronger and stronger. His attacks appeared like a flash before her eyes. The sheer speed and power were enough to cut steel let alone flesh.
Naturally, she sensed the danger of the situation and tried to take a step back to create some distance. However, she quickly realized that Arthur wasn’t going to let her do that.
“No, no, you aren’t going anywhere.” He muttered through his gritted teeth as he continued his relentless attacks from every angle. At the same time, he sent projectiles after her, trying to get her to make a mistake and manifest again.
A few seconds passed as the situation grew more and more intense. During which, his enemy didn’t attack even once, which proved his suspicion that if she wanted to use the ripples, she would have to manifest into reality again.
‘She has to have some kind of limit to invincibility. I will find it!’ His eyes flashed with a wild glint for a split second.
But, what Arthur didn’t realize at that moment while he was engrossed in the battle was that his companions had suddenly changed their direction. Instead of trying to break through the ice to reach the monster, they instead turned around and started walking toward the edge of the deck.
They seemed to have completely given up on reaching the seductive women. Step by step, they approached the edge. The wind around them whistles powerfully as if it were pushing them to get closer and closer to the edge.
Then, when they reached it, they suddenly stopped again as if they had reached the right destination. Their blank eyes stared into the distance.
Then, out of nowhere, Arthur felt something that snapped him out of his daze.
“Huh?”
The ship suddenly started shaking, and there was no subtle shaking. It started visibly swaying left and right as if it was being shaken by some unknown force. Arthur almost lost his balance as he had to jump back, creating a distance between him and the monster.
“What the hell is going on now?” He muttered with an exhausted look on his face. His eyes then fell on the group of mercenaries and he noticed that they had walked to the edge of the deck. Then, he saw one of them step toward the handrail and jump on top of it.
“NO!!” Arthur clenched his teeth as he quickly dashed forward, trying to reach the man before he jumped to his demise.
However, the woman noticed that and quickly slammed the palm of her hand forward, sending a shockingly powerful ripple flying toward Arthur. The ripple was so strong that it left behind large craters on the wooden floor.
The boy noticed that and quickly swung his sword, sending a large ice wall to block the ripple.
*BOOOOOM*
The wall didn’t last a second before it burst into pieces. But, at that moment, Arthur had already passed the spot where he would’ve been hit, barely dodging the attack before it hit him.
‘Dammit! That was way too close! I need to hurry!’ He cursed.
It was merely a second before the man’s entire body fell from the ship. Arthur’s speed was extremely high, but he wished it was faster as there was no time.
‘Hurry!’
*Swish*
Like a flash, Arthur blinked the entire distance as he reached the edge. At the same time, the mercenary let his body go as he started falling down the edge.
“I… got you!!!” That was when Arthur’s hand extended and grabbed him by the leg before he could reach the water. “In time!”
Arthur exhaled a long sigh of relief as he looked down. The ship was tilting powerfully and he could barely keep his balance through sheer will and upper core strength.
But, Arthur still tried to pull the mercenary up before he could slip from his grip.
‘This violent shaking isn’t making it any easy… Where the hell is it coming fr-‘ Before Arthur’s thought could even finish, he suddenly froze in place.
“… Huh?”
