“Damn it!”
Ling Mo’s eyes widened as he pushed off the ground with his hands, propelling himself forward. The darkness ahead was so thick that Li Yalin’s figure was nowhere to be seen. From the moment she let out a cry to her disappearance, not even a second had passed.
“What happened…” Ling Mo pushed himself to move faster.
But just as he passed a certain point, a massive force suddenly came from above, hooking onto the back of the Zombie Puppet’s collar. Before Ling Mo could react, he was lifted off the ground and found himself in a cramped space.
“It’s me!”
A hard object blocked his hand and then pressed firmly against his shoulder, pinning him down. A girl’s voice followed, low in volume but still carrying that mischievous tone.
Li Yalin appeared on the other side, looking much calmer than Ling Mo, even somewhat pleased.
“I…”
As soon as Ling Mo opened his mouth, the girl quickly said, “Shh! No talking.”
With her words, the space fell into silence. Despite the three of them being crammed into this enclosed area, not a sound was made, not even the sound of breathing.
Ling Mo instinctively reached out to touch the “wall” behind him, revealing a look of surprise.
It was a smooth, cold concrete wall…
Just two seconds later, a rustling sound came from below, growing in number and frequency, enough to make one’s hair stand on end.
“Shh…” The girl placed a finger to her lips and slowly moved toward the tunnel entrance.
“Hey, hey, what’s the plan here?” Ling Mo exchanged a wide-eyed look with her.
Xia Na’s lips curled into a sly smile before she silently gripped her Scythe.
“Rustle, rustle, rustle…”
The sound grew closer, and Ling Mo nervously watched the tunnel entrance.
From their position, they were practically pressed against the tunnel entrance. If anything crawled in, or even passed by outside, it was likely to notice them. If they were trapped in this tiny concrete tunnel by so many Monsters, the outcome would be disastrous… ŕàŊổ𝐁ÈS̩
Xia Na seemed to sense something and glanced back at him…
“Uh, wait…”
It was Nana who turned back, while Black Na remained focused on the entrance.
It was a bizarre sight, watching the back of a girl’s head suddenly “turn” around, revealing another face that looked identical, except for the hair and eye color… Yet, no matter how strange, anything involving Xia Na seemed naturally fitting.
For someone like Ling Mo, who was used to it, it was no big deal.
Nana appeared with an apologetic smile, then pressed her lips together, “Shh…”
Just as his attention was diverted, a wave of dense rustling sounds surged from below.
“Whoa!”
Ling Mo’s skin prickled with goosebumps. The sound was just too creepy!
Imagine hundreds of humanoid insects scuttling past you at high speed. Even if it wasn’t his main body hiding here, the sensation was enough to be torturous… Compared to these Monsters, Zombies seemed like relatively normal creatures in both appearance and behavior.
Despite the discomfort, the thought of so many Monsters passing below made Ling Mo curious… His main body hadn’t seen these Monsters up close, and the curiosity was undeniable…
But Xia Na remained focused, blocking the entrance. In a split second, she suddenly moved.
Ling Mo only saw her hair flutter slightly before she swung the Scythe towards him.
Nana followed suit, lunging forward with her psychic power Scythe aimed straight ahead.
“What the hell!”
Ling Mo caught a glimpse of something being thrown his way, and the next moment, something sticky and slippery latched onto the Zombie Puppet’s Arm.
The most horrifying part was… this thing was moving!
However, after Nana’s precise strike, it stopped struggling, though its body continued to twitch…
“Are you kidding me! A little warning would be nice!”

Xia Na pressed against the concrete wall, eyes wide, clutching the Scythe tightly to her chest.
When the rustling finally faded and disappeared, she exhaled sharply.
“Phew…” Li Yalin also let out a soft breath.
“You can come down now,” Xia Na said, jumping out of the tunnel first.
Nana had already returned to her, looking as if she had merged back into her main body in the blink of an eye.
“This separation and fusion are getting more seamless…”
Just as Ling Mo felt a hint of relief, he quickly shook off the thing he was holding. To his annoyance, it clung to him…
“Just like a bug…”
No doubt, this thing was one of those Monsters…
Catching a Monster from the Monster horde… such a daring act, only Xia Na could do it with such excitement…
“Ling-Ge, hurry down!” Xia Na urged from below.
Ling Mo, with a dark expression, jumped down. Once in the open space, he examined the Monster closely…
And immediately felt like losing his mind…
The Monster wrapped around his Arm was about four and a half feet long, its mouth likely pierced by the Scythe, hanging wide open. Its neck was arched back, face blankly staring at Ling Mo… The face, though terrifying, was still within Ling Mo’s tolerance.
Pale to the point of transparency, bulging red eyes, a shriveled nose, and sunken cheeks… But its mouth was filled with rows of sharp teeth, and its bloody throat kept twitching…
Moreover, it seemed to have lost all its hair, and most importantly, it was naked…
