“That sounds so terrible. Being stuck in a small cave for days without any food or water, I didn’t even want to imagine myself being in their shoes.” Elle was visibly surprised that she unconsciously covered her mouth with her hand.
Elle then stared at the women Yuan rescued, they appeared to be in perfect condition as there was not a single wound or visible scar in their bodies and she felt something unusual about it.
‘Since they’ve been stuck in the cave for a few days without any food or water, how come they appeared to be perfectly healthy? It’s strange.’ Elle thought, finding them quite suspicious.
Since these women have been stuck within the cave for a few days, they appear very weak, fragile, and can barely move. However, that wasn’t the case with these women as they appeared to be perfectly healthy and didn’t look sick at all, it was as though they’d never been captured by the goblins and stuck in the cave in the first place.
After wondering for a moment, Elle turned to see Yuan and asked, “Yuan, I’m confused here.”
“About what?” Yuan asked.
“About these women,” Elle replied. “You said they were stuck inside one of the chambers within the cave for a few days without any food and water, right?”
‘Oh, I see what she’s getting at… After all, witnessing many women who have been trapped in a cave for days without food or water in great health is unheard of. It’s no surprise she was staring at them as if they were exotic animals.’ Yuan thought, smiling inside.
“Yeah. So what about it?” Yuan made a poker face and acted as though he didn’t understand what she was getting at.
“You little…!” Elle’s face twisted seeing Yuan making a poker face, but she managed to control her composure as she remembered just how strong Yuan was.
Elle released a long sigh and with a calm voice, she said, “You know very well what I’m talking about. So don’t act like you don’t know anything.”
Yuan stared at Elle for a moment, and said, “Well, when we found them trapped inside the cave their condition wasn’t very good and they were on the verge of death. But thanks to me, they’re healed and in good shape now.”

“Can I ask how you manage to heal them?” Elle was very intrigued about the spell Yuan used to heal these women, even though she knew Yuan wouldn’t tell her anything.
“It’s a secret.” Yuan replied with a calm voice, as he didn’t want to reveal how he healed the women, and continued, “Alright, let’s stop this matter here, and do what we came here for.”
“Fine by me.” Elle reluctantly nodded as she didn’t want to get on the bad side of Yuan and his wives.
She then turned to see the Monroe sisters, and said, “Alright, you three, give me your mission sheet as well as the proof that you’ve completed the mission.”
Rose, Julie, and Ava nodded and submitted copies of the mission sheet and the proofs of the subjugation on the reception desk.
“And here’s the Troll’s club.” Yuan then quickly retrieved the Troll’s massive club from his system storage and placed it on the floor.
‘Thay club is massive… Just where did he take that thing out from?’ No matter how many times Elle saw this, she was still amazed by how Yuan took things from out of thin air.
After carefully examining the proof the Monroe sisters submitted, with a small smile on her face, Elle said, “I’ve verified everything. There is no issue with the proof, you’ve completed the missions successfully.”
“Miss Rose, your mission was to eliminate the lone Troll, here is the mission reward 80 gold coins.” Elle then placed 80 gold coins on the table and pushed them towards Rose.
With a smile on her face, Rose quickly picked up the coins and stored them inside her pouch.
After that, Elle did the same thing and handed Julie and Ava their reward for completing their mission, 50 gold coins to Julie and 60 gold coins to Ava.
Julie and Ava didn’t waste a single second and picked up the coins from the table and quickly stored them inside their leather pouch as Yuan had yet to give them spatial rings.
“Now give me your hunter licenses so I can update your hunter rank to C-rank,” Elle said.
The Monroe sisters nodded and quickly handed her their hunter licenses, they looked forward to getting their licenses updated so they could finally leave this City.
“It will take some time for me to update your licenses, so why don’t you all take a seat over there and wait for me.” Elle pointed her finger at the rows of empty tables ahead.
“Very well.” Yuan nodded and led his wives towards an empty take and took their seats.
As Yuan and his wives take their seats at an empty table, the women they rescued come over to them.
“Mr. Yuan, can we take our leave now? Our families must be quite worried about us, and we’d also like to reunite with our families as soon as possible as we haven’t seen their faces for days.” One of the women with brown hair and brown eyes said.
“Indeed. Our families must be very worried about us, I have a two-year-old daughter at home and except for my mother there is no one to look after her.” Another woman said, who appears to be the oldest woman within the group.
“There’s no need to be so polite to me. Since we’ve submitted our mission report and explained to the association what happened to all of you, you guys are free to leave now and reunite with your family.” Yuan said to them with a gentle smile on his face, as he clearly understood from their voices how eager they were to reunite with their family.
Seeing the women eager to meet their families, Yuan suddenly remembered how he was so desperate to meet his childhood friend for one last time before his death. Unfortunately, that wish was never fulfilled as it was too late for him to look for her whereabouts.
‘I’ve wasted too much time doing useless stuff now, it’s time for me to get serious and find a way back to earth so I can meet her.’ Yuan said to himself inwardly with a destination look on his face.
‘If it weren’t for these women, I would have forgotten about Lulu once again.’ Yuan sighed.
“Thank you for understanding, Mr. Yuan. We’ll now take our leave then,” One of the women slightly bowed at Yuan and his wives before leaving the Hunter Association.
Then the other women also bowed slightly towards Yuan and left the hunter association hurriedly. Yuan and his wives didn’t mind this, as the women were too eager to reunite with their families after spending some hellish nights at the goblins’ hideout.
However, Leah didn’t go with the other women for some reason and stood there with an awkward look on her face.
Seeing Leah didn’t go with the other, Yuan asked, “Miss Leah, aren’t you eager to meet your family as well?”
“Ah, I…I don’t have one.” Leah replied in a low voice staring at the floor, as she was afraid to make eye contact with Yuan.
Yuan and his wives looked at Leah for a moment in silence as they didn’t expect this kind of reply from her, no wonder she looked sad when the other women left the association building to reunite with their families.
After a moment of silence, Yuan asked. “What? You don’t have a family? What happened to them?”
“T-They were killed by the goblins…” Leah’s eyes became moist as she said that, she wiped her tears and said, “A few days ago we returned from our distant relative’s house on a wagon. In the evening we’re attacked by a group of goblins, we try to resist and fight against them…”
“But…but weren’t strong enough to go against a group of goblins…” Leah said while sobbing as tears rolled down her cheeks.
Since Leah and her family were only a low-level family of mages, the goblins overpowered them with their large number. However, despite their large number, Leah and her family didn’t give up and fought against the goblins with everything they had.

If it had been anyone else instead of you, they would have committed suicide.” Yuan said in a bittersweet voice, after hearing what happened with Leah’s parents and how she ended up in the goblins’ hideout.
