Li Yao briefly glanced at the landscape and furrowed his brows slightly. The cliffs on both sides were wide, making it impossible for him to stand on top and shoot like he had the last time.
The squads on the ground were densely grouped together. Sneaking past them wouldn’t pose a significant problem, but if he was revealed, escaping unscathed would be incredibly challenging.
After all, even with wings, escaping the spell range would require a casting process. The players here were mostly elite gamers, and a mere hit by a few spells could be deadly. Therefore, Li Yao couldn’t afford to take such a risk.
Li Yao speculated that there would definitely be thieves behind the stone columns in the distance, which would provide an overhead view of the entire area.
Li Yao took out his long bow and shot an arrow.

This strategy was a stroke of genius from the Shengshi Guild. He could sneak in under these circumstances but exiting unharmed could pose an issue. It would also increase the chances of encountering the enemy’s elite rogues.

He wasn’t a tank, his resistance and armour were inadequate, thus, the extra health points were merely superficial. Concentrated fire from several elite professions would certainly result in an instant death.
Players couldn’t hear the sonar waves coming from the sonar arrow. The waves Li Yao shot immediately dispersed.
As Li Yao suspected, he sensed the presence of a stealth thief, causing him to break out into a smile.
Hunters and thieves were mortal enemies, and the Sonar Arrow was a crucial element of this conflict. Once prepared, thieves were virtually helpless before hunters.
Li Yao slowly moved towards the central location, bypassing the squads of players levelling up. Nightfall was certainly amongst them.
Approaching a stone column, Li Yao released a Sonar Arrow. As the sonar waves spread, he sensed the presence of a thief at the top of the column.
Li Yao could perceive the continuous movement atop the stone column, observing the ground below, evidently to guard against him.
“Players from the Shengshi Guild are indeed well-trained,” Li Yao furrowed his brows slightly, realizing that this might be difficult to manage.
Nonetheless, Li Yao didn’t get too hung up on this. Instead, he continued to use the Sonar Arrow to guide his way forward.
Soon, Li Yao discovered the presence of Nightfall, who was battling a Harpy Queen Boss.
The squad’s strength was immense. Surprisingly, Nightfall was a Shaman, specifically a healer. This took Li Yao by surprise as he didn’t remember Nightfall being a healer.
The squad’s tank was a Knight – a leading member of the Prosperous Age Combat Team, known as Prosperous Knight.
Prosperous Mage from the squad was in charge of spells, while Prosperous Sorcerer was a Magician.
What puzzled Li Yao was an unfamiliar ID, Unparalleled Seductress. The name was quite peculiar.
Initially, Li Yao assumed she was mere eye candy. After all, her outfit was incredibly flashy: a tight, glossy leather suit that accentuated her impressive figure. Her face was charming, and her agitated allure was extraordinary.
Any man who laid eyes on her seemed as though they could lose themselves in her visage, especially her bewitching eyes. Even Li Yao felt his heartbeat quicken upon looking at her.
While Li Sister and Feng Yi were also beautiful, their beauty was different. Li Sister exuded an aloof and powerful charisma, while Feng Yi was a scholarly beauty. Men would first appreciate their beauty before having other thoughts.
This woman, however, was seductive. She had an alluring air that seemed to run through her very bones. Men didn’t just appreciate her – they harboured passionate desires towards her, wishing to pull her into their arms.
A woman like that, anyone would initially think of her as an ornament. Given that she was in Nightfall’s team, it was only natural to assume that this beautiful woman was Nightfall’s partner.
However, as Li Yao observed her for a while, his expression gradually turned serious. He noticed that Unparalleled Seductress’ techniques and perceptions were incredibly sharp. Her skills were no less exceptional than those of the core team members of the Shengshi Guild — they may have even been slightly superior.
Li Yao firmly believed in his judgment, but he was confused. He had no recollection of such an attractive and skilled female player.
“Who is this woman, did she change her ID later?” Li Yao was utterly bemused, the skills of the stealth thief were too exceptional.
The Harpy Queen’s attacks never landed on her. Moreover, she delivered solid damage and maintained a consistent number. Li Yao, with his keen perception, realised that she was controlling aggro. The only reason one would need to control aggro is if their damage was extremely high, and they were currently holding back.
Withholding your output in front of proficient professionals, it’s a given that she’s a super player. Judging by her techniques, this wasn’t just luck.
“Who exactly is this? She has understood the stealth thief to such a deep level in such a short time since the game’s release,” Li Yao’s mind raced, yet he had absolutely no recollection.
Moreover, he clearly remembered that Nightfall’s wife was also a formidable character — a strong-willed woman who managed the guild and was heavily involved in running the club — but she was definitely not Unparalleled Seductress.
After searching his memory for a while, Li Yao gave up when he could not recall. He had to take action now.
“How can I kill and leave gracefully?” As Li Yao circled the scene, the boss’s health had already been reduced to half. Currently, not many squads could kill a boss of the same level.
After much circling, Li Yao finally discovered an indented spot on a stone column. Having observed for a while, he realised that the spot was discreet and that he could stay hidden if he was careful.

It was challenging to land a shot because when they were fighting the boss, Nightfall didn’t stay still but dodged the boss’s skills while casting spells. This posed a difficulty. It would be easier if it were a linear distance.
Li Yao needed to use the ricochet to divert their attention, buying him two seconds, which provided a slim chance of survival.
Finally, after finalising his estimates, Li Yao broke into a cold sweat. The location’s geography was too complex, requiring multiple calculations.
Setting up his sniper rifle, Li Yao recalculated one last time. His eyes flashed for a moment.
“Now’s the time.” He then forcefully pulled the trigger.

The sniper rifle bullet was plain and straightforward. Li Yao didn’t perform any additional skills, but the speed of this bullet, augmented by the Power of the Bull, was extreme.

The bullet first ricocheted off a pillar to the side of the squad, followed by another stone column hundreds of yards away. The speed was so fast that both sounds seemed to come simultaneously.
However, it didn’t catch anyone’s attention. The multitude of spells and the boss’s fierce lightning and wind attacks drowned out the minuscule sounds.
The bullet sped towards the direction of the squad. However, if it were a direct shot, the bullet wouldn’t touch Nightfall…
