Qiao Nian felt flustered when she heard his voice, and she lost her concentration.
She pouted as she looked away from the CT scans. She frowned and said angrily, “It’s quite hard.”
The doctor-in-charge felt she was joking and interrupted rudely. “Of course it’s hard. Else we would’ve started on the operation already. Do you not have any input after looking at it for so long?”
Ye Qichen hadn’t lost consciousness from the fall. He was in so much pain that his face turned pale. A normal kid would’ve been in tears already.
However, he refused to cry. He bit on his lips so hard that it was bleeding already. When he saw that the doctor was being rude to his sister, he tried to stand up to defend her.
“Get out! I don’t want you to be my doctor! I don’t like you, get out!”
“Uncle, ask him to leave, ask all of them to leave!”
He suddenly exclaimed and refused to cooperate. The nurses next to him were shocked and tried to calm him down.
“Chen Chen, don’t move around and lay back down.”
“That’s right, Chen Chen. Don’t get up. You’ll worsen your injury.”
“Get out, all of you, get out!”
A kid would be a kid. No matter how mature he may be, he was still a five-year-old.
Even though he tried to behave like an obedient child in front of Qiao Nian, he couldn’t control himself with the pain he was experiencing. Hence, he couldn’t control his bad temper anymore.
“I don’t want to be treated by you!”
Ye Qichen started to tear up as he struggled.
He knew that he was behaving like a lunatic now. Even though he didn’t want Qiao Nian to witness this side of him. However, he wanted to cry from the pain he was feeling.
Ye Wangchuan then saw that he fell silent as he struggled to get up. It was as though he was trying to run away.
He frowned and hurried towards him. He held him down with an angry expression and exclaimed, “Haven’t you heard what the doctor said? Do you not want your leg anymore?”
He was being extra harsh because he was angry that Ye Qichen wasn’t taking care of himself.
However, even though he meant well, his words hurt the kid’s feelings. He started to bite his uncle and exclaimed with tears in his eyes, “Don’t care about me, I don’t want it anymore! I’m a cripple all along! I’m just a lame kid!”
The medical personnel felt pitiful for him.
Even the doctor-in-charge was affected.
Everyone had their own problems to deal with. Even if this kid was born in a rich family and achieved success already, it didn’t matter. Fame and fortune couldn’t make you healthy.
“Don’t say such things, I’ll help you to keep your leg.” Ye Wangchuan continued to hold him down even as he was bitten. However, as he was a guy, he wasn’t great at calming people.
Qiao Nian pitied Ye Qichen. She pulled Ye Wangchuan aside and said, “Let me handle it.”
Ye Wangchuan moved aside after seeing that she volunteered to help.
She walked over and patted Ye Qichen on the head. She then asked him firmly, “Chen Chen, do you trust me?”
Ye Qichen calmed down at her words because he couldn’t bear to bite her. However, his eyes were still teary and his face was still pale.
“I… I have been a little cripple all along…” Ye Qichen said as he realized that his left leg was hopeless. He didn’t want to trouble his sister.
