She shopped around before heading to the second floor.
There was a Seven store in the mall. There weren’t many customers as most people wouldn’t dare to shop around the store.
Qiao Nian entered the store casually. When the storekeeper saw that someone entered, she greeted her warmly. “Hello, what kind of jewelry are you looking for? I can help make some recommendations.”
She was shocked after seeing that Qiao Nian was just a high schooler. However, she still maintained her smile. She didn’t feel that Qiao Nian was a waste of time because she looked young.
She followed Qiao Nian and asked politely, “Miss, what are you looking for? Bracelets, necklaces, earrings, or brooches. I can tell you where they are located in this store.”
Qiao Nian had never been to a Seven store before because Yuan Yongqin would send her every new product.
She would often just leave them in their bags. She would lose those there weren’t in the bags.
She wanted to get a gift that was fun and pretty for the kid today. She thought for a while before answering, “Let’s see the brooches, then.”
“Alright. Brooches, right? Please follow me,” the shopkeeper said as she led her in.
The shop was huge and its designs were dominated by black and white. Then, some metal accessories were used for decoration. It felt luxurious.
The design was elegant and grand.
There were some customers in the store. They were dressed to the nines as compared to Qiao Nian’s casual clothes. They had make-up, the latest hairstyle, and branded clothes. They were obviously rich.
The other shopkeepers lost interest after noticing that Qiao Nian was just a high-schooler. Only the shopkeeper that greeted her when she entered continued to treat her properly.
“We’re here.”
She led Qiao Nian to a cabinet. The lights were shining on the accessories, causing the pretty brooches to glisten.
“Let me recommend one for you.”
The shopkeeper put on her gloves and opened the cabinet, retrieved an animal brooch, and started to talk about it. “This brooch is really cute. Even though it’s not the latest one, it is value-for-money. It really suits young people. It’s shaped like a seahorse, and any dress will look cute with it.”
Qiao Nian took a look at it. It was cute indeed and would suit kids.
However, she was drawn to a cat-shaped brooch. She pointed at it and asked, “Can I have a look at this instead?”
“This?” The shopkeeper hesitated. As it was the latest fashion and it also had a lot of diamonds, it wasn’t cheap.
Qiao Nian was a student and wouldn’t have the money for it, anyway.
However, she only hesitated for a while. She still retrieved it from the cabinet and passed it to Qiao Nian. She then said, “As this is the newest fashion, it’s a bit more expensive. The seahorse-shaped brooch isn’t bad as well. Even though the diamonds are small, they’ll still glisten under the light.”
Qiao Nian started to examine the cat-shaped brooch. It was well-designed. A pair of black diamonds were used for the cat’s eyes. Even though the diamonds weren’t big, they made the brooch cute.
The kid would like it.
As Qiao Nian thought about Ye Qichen, she liked the brooch more. She passed it to the shopkeeper and said, “I’ll have this one. Pack it for me please.”
