For ordinary Jianghu people, what they Cultivate is the Qi in the Dantian. Qi comes from the Dantian, refining the essence Qi of grains. What is stored is only Acquired Qi. This itself is a makeshift solution. Only those who Breakthrough to the Innate Realm can open the Qi Sea and truly find the location of the Qi Sea. Once one enters the Innate Realm, they are no longer mortal.
