Chapter 28 Covet
Just as Ling Xue and Xiao Luo were worrying about whether someone would come to rob them, a few middle-aged women came from the front.
A few people saw Ling Xue and Xiao Luo busy digging something from afar. It didn't look like energy wheat, so they wanted to come over and join in the fun.
They were originally going to send things back to the base camp, but they dug too much and there was no space to store it or the space storage was too small, so they had to send some to the camp. Otherwise, they would not be able to continue to harvest good things.
The young woman saw Ling Xue and Xiao Luo digging without looking up. Since they didn't look like wild vegetables, she wanted to go over and see if they had anything good. So, she said to the other women with her, "Sister Wu, why don't we go over and take a look? Could there be anything good?"
Before Mrs. Wu could say anything, one of the thin, blond-haired men said disdainfully, "Shuanghua, what's so good about that? Is there really anything good behind this?"
Mrs. Wu, the chubby-faced woman, nodded in agreement, "Yes, Shuanghua, what Zhenzhen said makes sense. I don't think there will be any good things here. We've already picked them all."
"That's right, you're just daydreaming! Even if there are some small things, is it worth our trip? Tsk - it's better to go early and come back early. If we're late, we don't know how much good things we will miss!"
Liu Hui looked down on Li Shuanghua for being stingy. If her mother-in-law hadn't given her a gift, she would have stopped taking her with her long ago!
"Is it so easy to take advantage? Your old habit has come back again, right? Tsk!"
Liu Hui's sister-in-law Wang Yun also disliked Li Shuanghua. It was because Li Shuanghua's behavior was too annoying. She was always trying to take advantage of others, and she always thought that the same thing was better in someone else's hands.
Li Shuanghua pursed her lips and said nothing more. She looked unwillingly in Ling Xue's direction, hesitated for a moment, and finally gave up. However, she felt that they were digging up something valuable.
She didn't dare go alone, so she had to chase the people in front of her, but those people would not wait for her.

A few people hurried past and soon left Ling Xue and the others far behind.
Ling Xue and Xiao Luo didn't dare to relax at all. These people would pass by here again soon. If anyone curious came to check it out, she and Xiao Luo would miss out on some of their gains.
After a long time of rushing, Ling Xue and Xiao Luo finally met up. Xiao Luo's storage space was small, so he left some of the harvested sweet potatoes outside.
"Put it away quickly, I think those women are coming over!" Xiao Luo said to Ling Xue anxiously.
Ling Xue turned her head and looked over, and sure enough, those women were trying to come over here.
"Okay, let's divide it when we get back!" Ling Xue waved her hand and put away the piles of sweet potatoes, which she estimated to be about ten thousand pounds.
Ling Xue ignored Li Shuanghua and Mrs. Wu who were walking over. She walked forward with her back to them, collecting sweet potato leaves and vines as she walked. She finished collecting all the vines that were closest to her just before they spoke.
"Why don't you go to the front? What good things can there be here?" Li Shuanghua said softly to Xiao Luo.
Xiao Luo looked at Li Shuanghua's expression and felt disgusted. He always felt that she looked familiar and awkward.
"Just dig up some wild vegetables. My sister's not in good health, and I'm injured, so I can't go fast!" Then, Xiao Luo smiled and said to Mrs. Wu, "You've harvested so much good stuff that you have to send back to the camp. It's really amazing!"
Mrs. Wu laughed heartily when she heard Xiao Luo's praise. She was proud but also a little wary. However, she felt relieved when she thought about the two brothers and sisters who were not strong enough to fight.
Beside them, Li Shuanghua was looking around, as if trying to see what the two had found. Ling Xue was speechless. There were so many good things in the wild, so if they wanted something, they could just go find it. It wasn't hard to get it. Why bother staring at what others had?
