Broken decided to depart immediately from Gia’s residence, eager to meet Fokil and complete the quest he had been working on for weeks.
He couldn’t read the details of the blueprint he had received, The Unseen Universe Necklace. It indicated that the blueprint was of a high grade, likely at least Unique-grade. Only a blacksmith could read its details.
But, if he analyzed the name of the item in the blueprint, it at least sounded cool. Unseen Universe, like an item with the power to enter a unique domain or dungeon? Or something similar? He stored all that enthusiasm and hoped to craft the item once he secured the Blacksmith Class.
As Broken approached Fokil’s smithy, he noticed a figure in the distance that he was certain he recognized. It looked like they were dragging someone with them, and as he watched, the figure and the person they were dragging came closer and closer.
Finally, he realized it was Booba who was dragging a miner he knew as Dredge by the collar. Dredge was the man who had introduced him to Gia.
“Booba?” Broken said, not taking his eyes off Dredge.
“Broken…. Ha ha ha!” Booba said, laughing. “I’ve found someone who knows where the Moonstone is. I bet you’ve been pretty confused the last few weeks, huh? Ha ha ha….”
“You stupid idiot!” Dredge shouted, struggling to break away from Booba’s grip. He was clearly seething with anger. “I have met him, and I’ve told him where the Moonstone was.”
“Huh?” Booba looked confused, then glanced at Broken.
Broken gave a subtle nod in response.
Booba then released his grip on Dredge and stepped towards Broken. “Hahaha, long time no see. Are you okay, Broken? Do you need help fighting monsters?”
Dredge sneered before finally storming off, mumbling curses under his breath. “I regret meeting you two!”
After confirming to Booba that he had successfully obtained the Moonstones, Broken mentioned that he needed to submit the quest results to someone.
Booba, trailing after him, hurried to keep up with his quick pace. He then reached out and placed his hand on Broken’s shoulder. “How about your level? Are you still as slowdown as before? Don’t tell me you haven’t progressed beyond level 25 yet? Hahaha…”
Broken paused for a moment, considering Booba’s question. He turned to face him. “I’ve been hunting monsters and looking for Moonstones nearby,” he replied.
A small smile curved Booba’s lips as he understood why Broken was avoiding the question. He figured that Broken was too shy to say, so he reasoned that he should provide some encouragement, like a good buddy does. “I must try and cheer him on. It is my responsibility as a friend,” he thought to himself.
“Have you ever heard of the Ass Guild?” Booba asked as they continued to walk toward their destination.
“Yeah…” Broken answered, recalling the mage Elincia, who had attacked him and killed him instantly when he was in Princess Alora’s tent. “I know the name, but I can’t remember what it stands for.”
“Ahahaha… that’s the Astral Sorcery Squad,” Booba replied cheerfully and confidently.
Astral Sorcery Squad, often shortened to Ass Guild, was led by Booba’s little sister, Elincia, someone Broken had previously encountered.
“Ah yes… I remember now,” Broken said.
“Did you know that the Ass Guild is one of the top guilds in Immortal Legacy? I mean, have you heard of its guild leader, Elincia?” Booba said, a big smile spreading across his face.
So far, Booba had been without a guild. However, his little sister, Elincia, had kindly offered him a place in the Ass Guild. The guild boasted a powerful formation and skilled players, and anyone would no doubt become stronger if they joined them.
Therefore, Booba wanted to offer Broken a seat in the Ass Guild; he believed that the guild’s members would provide unconditional aid, allowing Broken to grow more powerful in no time.
“Ah yes, I know Elincia,” Broken answered, a trace of bitterness still present in his voice.
A grin spread across Booba’s face as he heard that Broken was familiar with his younger sister, whom he was so proud of. “Good… I’m sure many people know of Elincia. She’s very talented and is a top ranker. Did you know she’s my sis…” he said, eager to share the news.
Before Booba could finish, Broken cut him off, “What a stupid and crazy girl!” he exclaimed. “Just hearing her name makes me angry.”
“Eh?” Booba exclaimed, taken aback by Broken’s response.
“Yes, she is stupid and crazy. If only I were as strong as her, I could surely repay her for what she did to me. I deserve some kind of retribution for her actions,” Broken spoke with irritation.
“Wait, what do you mean?” Booba asked, completely shocked.
“Something happened. I suddenly logged into a tent that belonged to… someone…” He paused, not wanting to tell the story of how he had seen Princess Alora almost take off all her clothes.
“Yes,” he continued. “And that stupid mage appeared and cast a high-tier skill, killing me instantly.”
Booba’s throat tightened as he looked at Broken. “Is it true,” he stammered, “that you were caught in Princess Alora’s tent?”
Broken stared blankly at Booba, surprised that he had figured it out so quickly.
“How do you know that? Please keep this a secret, but yes, that’s me,” he replied reluctantly, knowing he had no choice but to be honest.
Booba pondered if Broken was, in fact, the same person his sister had told him about – the one who was romantically involved with Princess Alora and being chased by the Ass Guild.
“I thought you were in a dangerous situation, the Ass Guild is looking for you,” Booba said, worried evident in his voice.
“Are you saying the Ass Guild is hunting me?” Broken asked.
“Don’t worry,” Booba insisted, trying to ease Broken’s worries. “I will do everything within my power to safeguard you. The Ass Guild won’t hurt you. I give you my word that you can live without fear. Let me handle this situation.”
Booba was determined to protect Broken and tried to explain the situation to Elincia. “You should hide for a while, and I will give you info if any members of the Ass Guild are anywhere near this area.”
“Thanks, Booba,” Broken said, smiling widely.
Whatever Elincia and her guild were thinking, it was clear that he should be the one angry with them. He had ended up in Princess Alora’s tent unintentionally, and it was because she had set up her tent right where he had logged out. That impulsive girl had killed him without a second thought. And now they were hunting him? But why? Shouldn’t Princess Alora have no issue with him?
He couldn’t figure out the reason behind all this. But he didn’t let it bother him; he only needed to focus on his target.
The two of them continued walking towards Fokil’s Smithy. As they approached, Fokil peeked out of the window and saw Broken and Booba making their way toward his smithy. He clicked his tongue in irritation and came out with an angry expression.
“What is that rascal doing here?” he said, pointing at Booba.
Broken turned to Booba. “What have you done to him, Booba?”
“Ah, well…” Booba grinned awkwardly. “We only just met a few days ago. We were just trying to get to know each other.”
“There’s no way just getting to know each other would make him this furious!”
Fokil crossed his arms and glared at Booba. “He nearly destroyed my smithy with his ‘introductions.'”
Broken sighed, realizing that Booba had probably caused some trouble.
