The huge dragon in the shiny black armor rested on a small mountain of golden coins.
Everything around him was dark and black, with the tall walls made of polished, glossy dark marble and the tall pillars rising above him.
The chamber was vast, easily able to fit an entire city into it.
Vesuvius glanced at the result of his recent decisions, his newly evolved abilities.

Description: Acidic-Toxin glands that gained additional exhaust orifices connecting them to the dragon’s breath glands, and allowing them to infuse every breath attack with acidic and toxic properties.

Description: The body of a dragon is infused with radioactive elements, turning it into a giant walking nuclear reactor, that produces immense amounts of mana. Its evolved version can be overloaded, massively increasing its production at the cost of damage to the body.
The more overloaded, the more damage will be caused, and more mana will be generated.

Dragon Lord’s Nuclear Breath (LV 20) –> Dragon Lord’s Apocalyptic Multielemental Breath (LV 20):
Description: A breath of an apocalypse dragon lord. It can combine and fuse all the elements of the apocalypse domain into a single synergized breath attack.
The more elements it contains, the better it will synergize, making the breath much more powerful than it should be.
+10% Breath intensity per contained element
It allows infusing the breath glands with the divine energy to empower breath attacks by a large margin.

Vesuvius was sure it was the correct decision compared to the three other options.
One was the exact opposite, increasing the power of separate elements when used separately.
‘For now, it will be weaker, but I am sure that eventually it will catch up and surpass the single element one by far. I am gaining more and more elements. The concept of apocalypse is so wide and contains an immense amount of elements under it.’
The first of the two remaining options was a general improvement, and the second one would make the breath more powerful the longer it was unleashed.
‘Yes, it has immense damage potential, which would probably surpass my choice by a lot. But at the same time, its time to kill would be, on average, higher as it would need charging. My choice will deliver immense damage right from the first second.’

Vesuvius wasn’t a fool and refused to trust the demons and invite them to fight by his side, ‘They are demons, and even if I could fully trust Satanael, there is no guarantee that some of their subordinates wouldn’t attack me of their own volition.’
That they were demons of anger made it even worse, as they were prone to… well, anger, making them highly unpredictable.
‘But there is a whole continent between us. By the time our forces will meet. I and my army will be much more powerful. Until then, they will work as a perfect distraction.’
The dragon knew what he was planning to do was too eye-catchy, but now that the demons were causing havoc on the continent, no one would have enough time to pay too much attention to him.
‘Now I can act with much more freedom!’
The temperature in the room raised even more, with the golden coins shining from the heat.
‘At the same time, it should bolster my potential partnership with demons of anger!’ Demons of anger loved to rampage, destroy, and smash stuff. It was their joy in the same way as hoarding gold for dragons.
Opening a gateway to allow large hordes of powerful demons through was extremely difficult.
Still, him being a dragon and Satanael being a fallen dragon allowed him to use the still-present connection of blood and the immense magical potency of his blood to easily invite Satanael’s demonic armies into the main world.

The dragon spread his wings, the light reflecting within his glinting crystal wings. The golden coins descended down the side of his golden mountain in a small golden avalanche, loudly clinging, dinging, and ringing.
‘Disgrace… Let’s see if you are truly worthy of your reputation.’ Vesuvius got the information he needed from his growing information network, including the location of one of the targets of the quest given to him by the dragon god in exchange for his powerful ability.
‘I still have two more abilities to evolve, and then I can go and get rid of that traitor.’ He felt flames of rage explode from the depth of his heart. He learned what the wyrm did from the stories circling between wyrms and mortals.
