POV Alesia:
“I hate this paperwork!” The young elven girl smashed her tiny fist against her black polished stone desk with a loud bang.
She used one of her hands to massage her temple while she kept reading through the extensive lists. They were all long lists of names with occupations and collected info.
‘Successful merchant. He owns a large trading company that he built. No known political affiliations.’
She moved the quill and scribbled next to the name, marking it with a small black x letter.
Her eyes moved towards the next name, ‘Johnas Quinn. Inherited a large company from his father. The company stagnates. Pchhh… just good for nothing that lives out of his parent’s efforts. Not someone worth of master’s blood.’
She crossed the name out with a strike of her quill, moving quickly down it. Her hand promptly crossed or marked the names one by one. Her blonde ponytails bounced up and down as she occasionally nodded her head.
‘Luckily, all of the guilds and kingdoms kept extensive records. As expected of a vampire, they were not sloppy when it came to running this kingdom.’
Alesia hated the job as she wanted to continue her project, but she knew it was necessary.
‘There is still a lack of loyal and qualified administrators. The number of kobolds is rising… they are good soldiers and menial workers, but they lack in this kind of work. ‘
It was a rare combination that would take years to culminate, ‘Capable and loyal…’
A large smile formed on her face, revealing her small, pristine teeth, ‘Luckily, with master’s blood, the loyalty part can be skipped, leaving only the capabilities for consideration.’
She grabbed another sheet, her eyes skimming through, ‘Hmm, these are all nobles. Let’s see who deserves to keep their position and gain immortality. The rest will be slowly replaced.’

A new wave of information flowed into the dragon’s head, containing new modified spell circuits and special techniques.
‘These new spells… they are lots more advance after this evolution.’
This time Vesuvius quickly spotted the difference, making him realise how genial they were, ‘My domain already allows me almost effortlessly to manipulate magic and elements in my domain. And now, I can use this new power to easly combine it with my spells.’
The dragon grinned, a bright light escaping out of his mouth, seeing that all of his powers were slowly but surely coming together, interlocking and forming an extremely deadly combination.
‘Also, spells that are using my domain…’ He felt that it was similar to the spells using his breath, wings or claws when casting, but now there were new spells allowing him to use a domain in the same way.
Eager to test it, Vesuvius poured his mana into his horns, making them pulse brightly. A new circuit formed in his mind, its copy forming high in the dark sky above him.
It was a massive spinning two-layered circle with a square circuit inside, its glow shifting between blue and gold. It was huge, easly larger than a large house.
The black volcanic clouds started to spin around it, throwing blue electrical arcs striking against the circle.
Vesuvius watched in excitement and horror when he noticed that he no longer fed any mana into the circle. It powered itself up with the electricity generated by the clouds and domain.
The whole outermost circle contained dozens of energy management runes, converting the raw energy into mana.
The mana generated by them flowed into the second layer of the circle, which contained a large number of logic runes that brightly pulsed as they took control of the whole spell, directing and controlling the mana within it.
There was no need for Vesuvius to do anything more; the spell became autonomous and self-sufficient.
The centremost third layer contained the spell itself, looking like the square used to turn his breath into thin rays, making Vesuvius, for the first time, realise the sheer possibility of the magic and domain combined together, ‘What I thought before was an understatement. This is insane, as I just need to care about it at the beginning… no, my sub-brain and horns can cast for me, so it can easly start lots of these spells that would remain active without me needing to even care.’
The dark clouds were spinning faster and faster around the circle, their glow brightening with lightning moving and sparking around it.
Vesuvius send a command through his domain, feeling his domain connected to it like a finger holding a trigger of a gun.
The next moment, the whole circle pulsed, and a massive ray of lightning shot out of its centre, the golden-blue ray of electricity shooting towards the ground, burning a trail through the rivers of magma like a laser beam.
The beam was so bright and concentrated that it outshined all of the lightning within the clouds, all of the power directed and controlled.
Vesuvius just stared at it with amazement, which grew even more as he realised that the circle remained in the sky, already condensing lightning for another attack.
