,m The huge dragon was flapping his wings, his massive body high in the sky. The magma leaking out of the cracks in his armour rained towards the ground, burning everything in its path.
Vesuvius kept burning his mana without any compromises, with more and more red glowing blades of mana launching out of his body and joining the levitating swarm around him.
“Ohh, power of lightning, heed to my call to punish these that sullied my territory!” His loud and cold voice was spreading through the whole plain, making Vesuvius doubt himself.
He slowly started to regret his act as he started to feel embarrassed, ‘Do I sound like an idiot?’
Vesuvius put all of his efforts into keeping his voice steady as he had his doubts.
The small dots were running all over the ground under him, spreading in all directions as if they were futile in trying to escape.
The dragon felt satisfaction and peace filling his mind, ‘This is how it should be! The mortals should be running from dragons, fearing their wrath. Dragons are predators. We are no supposed to act like prey.’
Vesuvius opened his mouth even wider, the bright white and golden light leaking out, outshining even the red starry blades around him. A thick black smoke erupted straight out of the gaping glowing mouth, with the powerful howling winds spreading in all directions.
Like an unstoppable flood, the dark black smoke enshrouded everything, floating above the red stars. Everything turned dark, the only light being the faint red stars on the black background.
The ground trembled as the lightning filled the sky, striking between the red blades of magma levitating in the air as if they were some kind of lightning rod. The flashing lights constantly blinded everyone, making it hard to see where they were running, causing them constantly stumble and fall.
The massive shadow of the dragon in the sky rose up their massive clawed hand, flames burning all around it, “Fire, lightning and resentment crush my enemies!”
The next moment the hand moved down, followed by the dragon’s words, “Ignis Regnum!”
Vesuvius finally released his control over the blades, gravity regaining its power and sending the blades of magma into freefall.
A feeling of relief instantly enveloped his whole body and mind as he finally released all of his spells and his control.
In an instant, as if the sky ruptured, the red glowing blades started to fall, making it look like hundreds of red falling stars. The lightning kept striking and circling between them, creating a huge net woven of lightning that was falling towards the ground.
The dragon quietly observed the falling waves of destruction, his eyes brightly glowing with a satisfying feeling seeping through his body. It felt as if he had finally scratched an itchy spot that had been bothering him for a long time.
‘Haha, you were bothering me for such a long time!’
The blades with lightning crackling between them kept accelerating, turning into a colourful blur as they closed towards the ground.
In an instant, everyone looked towards the sky, their eyes growing wide in panic. There was nowhere to hide. The whole barren fields of ash would soon get blasted into oblivion.
Most people stopped, as they realised that they couldn’t escape with the whole sky falling on their heads. Their panicked and confused speech reached all the way towards the dragon’s sensitive ears, making him almost laugh.
“What is this spell? Can I learn it?”
“This is so broken!”
The red lights kept getting brighter as they quickly closed towards the ground, the lightning filling all of the space between them.
Vesuvius held his breath in expectation, wanting to see and enjoy the upcoming impact. His heart was beating so loudly, pumping him with so much adrenaline, that even his headache subsided.
The first glowing red blades smashed against the ground at full speed, the magical symbols around them triggering and exploding. The whole wastelands shook, with magma and fire flying in all directions, tearing and burning everything in its path.
The XP notifications kept popping in the corner of his visions repeatedly without any break.

The lightning discharged amidst the neon-red magma, the electricity crackling through the whole ground, with a bright blue flash blinding everyone. Powerful shockwaves swept across the lands, rising clouds of ash and soil into the air.
More and more red blades kept impacting against the ground, explosions popping everywhere like mushrooms after the rain. Everything was shaking with arcs of lightning jumping around, the blinding flashes of red and blue light constantly flashing like a police siren.

The broken carriage in the middle of the road trembled, its whole wooden structure shaking. Then it shook again, with the wooden hatch in its roof falling out its hinges.
A dwarf climbed out of the broken carriage, his white beard moving in the wind, his eyes going wide as he watched the fire and lightning rain from the pitch-black sky as if it was water with red lights flashing between them.
All around the forest were sewn corpses, with the pungent smell of death drifting in the air. People with weapons in their hands stood everywhere, watching the red rain descend from the sky, the loud bangs of the nearby explosions reaching all the way towards the carriage. All of the remaining leaves on the trees rustled under the constant shockwaves.
The terrific beasts made of stone and magma walked around, chewing upon dead bodies.
The dwarf’s eyes went wide as he watched the rain, shivers running down his body as he imagined the power needed to cause something like that. His only assurance was that he would likely never get close to its source as even these weirdos that kidnapped them looked sane enough to never approach such a being.
“Hey, what is going on? Do you know where we are?” a female voice came from the carriage.
‘The blood forest, the demonic monster and the fire rain.’ the only words that came to his mind were, “We are in hell…”
“What are you talking about, you drunk barrel of beer? Move your fat ass, and let me look!”
