Julian jumped down the from the tree and slowly sneaked towards the shrine ahead while doing so he had to be careful as he didn't want to alert the grunts when he reached near the shrine he saw four grunts guarding the entrance of the shrine, he hid behind a tree and looked at their surroundings.
Julian 'There is no way for me to sneak in without being noticed by them, looks like I have to get some help'
Julian took out a Pokeball and called out Gengar.
Julian [Gengar go and distract those grunts over there]
Gengar looked at the four grunts guarding the entrance and grinned and disappeared from his spot.
Julian smiled warily and started to observe Gengar.
Gengar again appeared behind a Grunt and smacked his head hard, the Grunt was startled by the sudden pain on top of his head and looked up, he thought it was a stone but he didn't see anything that could possibly fall on him, he then looked at other grunts and saw all of them just standing there with their guns.
Grunt 'Am I imagining things'
The Grunt rubbed his head as he still felt pain but he decided to ignore it, but Gengar had other plans, Gengar created a small fire on his hand and placed it on the ground right between his legs, for few seconds nothing happened but then he suddenly started to feel hot.
Grunt 'Why am I feeling so hot there, is it because of the weather?'
But his horror has just begun suddenly the temperature went up and he felt something burning, he looked down and saw his crotch on fire.
Grunt "AAARRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG"
The Grunt felt immense pain and burn on his balls, the other grunts looked at him and they were horrified, they unconsciously held their balls and shivered.
Grunt "You idiots what are you doing just standing there, help me"
The other grunts snapped out and looked at each other.
Grunt 2 "I don't have any water or water pokemons"
Grunt 3 "We don't have a blanket either"
The Grunts once again looked at each other and nodded at each other, it looked like all of them came to the same conclusion, they step forward and started to stomp the crotch of the burning Grunt repeatedly.
"BAM, BAM, BAM"
Grunt "Arrrrrggggggg, you motherfu*kers what are you doing, Arrrrggggg, Argggggggggggg"
Julian who was a little distance away saw this and felt a shiver run down his spine, he noticed that the grunts were busy doing what they are up to now, seeing the opportunity he swiftly bolted and went inside the entrance without being noticed by the grunts.
Once he was inside he looked back at the entrance and heard the screams of the grunt, Gengar also appeared in front of him as he was laughing his ass off.
Julian couldn't help but shake his head, he prayed that the grunt recovers from this traumatizing experience.
(2 Min of silence for the Grunt's crotch)
He looked at Gengar who was still laughing.
Julian [Gengar next time please don't ruin people's privet parts]
Gengar laughed and nodded at Julian.
Seeing this Julian thought he did something wrong but he wondered what could be more worst than burning a person's genitals, having no answer he decided to not think about it.
Julian [Ok Gengar try to find a group of people wearing the same uniform inside this shrine, the shrine is big so be careful and don't get lost, report to me as soon as you see them and no pranks]
Gengar grinned and nodded, he then disappeared from Julian's site and headed in search for the Admin of Shadows.
Julian started to look around the shrine, he could easily see everything inside the shrine as they were lighted by some weird stones that were emitting light stuck on the surface of the shrine, he examined these stones and found out they are ember stones, they contain small amount of fire element in them, in olden times people used these as light source in house.
Julian 'To think that people placed ember stones on these walls'
Ember stones were very costly as they can be used as an energy source or to make expensive jewelry, these stones are also beneficial to fire type pokemons.
Julian carefully observed the carvings on the wall and saw carvings of Latias and Latios on it and how people worshiped them, he saw a group of people dancing around a fire, he also saw carvings of the weather trio both in their basic form and Mega/Primal form and how people in ancient time worshiped them as gods.
Julian then started to walk further into the shrine and noticed alters which were used to worship these pokemons and serve them offerings.
He also noticed written text on these alters which looked like some kind of prayer, after spending some time around these alters he also found out that the people who first came to this island discovered it by mere coincidence and soon settled in, they also knew how to use mega evolution as well, but now there were no trace of these people.
Julian 'How did they perish?'
He wondered, he saw no threat present on the island that could wipe out a generation of people living here.
Finding no answer he started to go deeper into the shrine and noticed many caves leading to different directions.
Julian 'Should I check few of these caves or should I wait for Gengar?'
After thinking for a while he decides to look around a few caves, he entered one and walked for some time till he reached a dead end, he found a small wooden table and pots made out of clay on the ground but the most eye-catching thing was a skeleton which was on a chair next to the wooden table, Julian walked forwards and examined the bones.
Julian 'The bones are still sturdy, well the humans in this world have very sturdy bones so I think this is not a big deal, the skeleton had a piece of cloth covering its upper body, it had some rings on its figures made up of ember stones.
Julian was disappointed as he didn't find anything on the skeleton, e looked inside the pots and found nothing but dust in them.
Julian 'If there was anything on them, those Shadow Legion must have taken them away, it's impossible to find anything here'
Julian walked back to the area where all the cave entrances are and stood there waiting for Gengar to come back.
His wait was soon over as Gengar appeared before him and pointed towards a cave on the right.
Julian "Then let's go".
