Yang Zhen spat out a mouthful of smoke, after wiping off the blood from his body he said to Que’er, “Do you think only the Demonic Race can bear the thunder punishment from heaven? Humans or other races, recall the ancient times, wasn’t every single clan trembling under the Tribulation?”
Que’er was a bit stunned and said defiantly, “Humans aren’t!”
“How are humans any different?” Yang Zhen looked at her strangely, “Didn’t Sao Saint, whom I embody, just get struck by lightning? Look at me, was the strike not severe?”
Que’er glared at him and said, “That’s not the same! Thousands of years ago, a human warrior stirred the heavens and the earth with a single sword, causing the entire continent to be in chaos. Now there’s another human like you who wasn’t even harmed by a blood red thunderbolt. Human practitioners, the chosen of this world, how can you comprehend the pain of the Demonic Race?”
Yang Zhen was dumbfounded, speechless and unable to come up with a retort.
Looking at Que’er’s serious face, Yang Zhen shook his head and said, “You’re wrong!”
“Wrong?” Que’er looked puzzled, “Where am I wrong?”
Yang Zhen took a deep breath, and solemnly said, “Sao Saint had a brother who was a little demon that lived for thirty thousand years and eradicated countless heavenly tribulations, casually destroyed thunder punishments. When you guys were sealed by thunder punishments, it was causing great upheavals within the human world with a wave of its hand. Even the thunder punishments shrank away in front it, even the most terrifying thunderbolt was casually destroyed by it!”
“That’s impossible!” Que’er cried out in surprise, the pure and animated gaze showed excitement. Though her mouth said it was impossible, she eagerly waited for Yang Zhen to continue the story.
Yang Zhen felt that if he stopped talking now, this little girl might pester him for days and nights.
Seeing Que’er’s eager eyes, Yang Zhen took a deep breath and continued, “Whenever my brother roared, the three realms trembled. “How could such a powerful demon exist, you must be lying to me, right?” Que’er dazedly stared at Yang Zhen, her eyes lost focus.
Yang Zhen clapped his hands, “Why would I lie to you, Sao Saint never lies. You better believe it…sit down, let me tell you properly.”
Que’er sat beside Yang Zhen in a dazed state. Yang Zhen sat down on the ground, just as he opened his mouth to speak, he suddenly felt awkward. Turning his head, he was nearly scared out of his wits.
Circled around were shadowy figures. The closer to the center, the denser they were, obviously, the higher their seniority.
“Damn it, you bunch of old geezers, you’re awake now?”
“Ah!” Que’er was startled and nearly jumped into Yang Zhen’s arms.
“Little girl, don’t be scared, we old fellows, as long as we have the slightest consciousness, how could we harm our own people?”
An aged voice echoed, leaving Yang Zhen and Que’er baffled.
