Orson’s face twitched as three black lines appeared on his forehead. He forced a smile. “…No wonder this robe doesn’t go well with your legendary gear.”
Naoko gave him a sly, almost mischievous look and raised an eyebrow, “Couple’s outfit?”
Her robe resembled the Flame Robe but was a size smaller.
Orson’s face stiffened, and he waved his hand, quickly switching to the “Orsix” outfit and putting on the Imperial robe. He then spoke sternly, “Adventurer, greetings.”
Naoko blinked, momentarily stunned. She had never encountered someone so completely uninterested in her advances. This guy was completely impervious, and she couldn’t figure him out.
“Do you have someone you like?” Naoko asked with an almost pleading look.
Orson groaned and buried his face in his hands. He knew she was probably pretending, but it was hard to ignore how close she was, deliberately acting cute, which was really starting to get on his nerves.
Naoko said, “What kind of type do you like? I can be whatever you want. A mature woman? A little girl? I can do that, just say the word.”
At this, Orson couldn’t take it anymore. He sighed heavily. “Are you a masochist or something?”
“Bingo! You got it right!” Naoko giggled, her eyes never leaving Orson. “I only accept you to… punish me, Orson-kun.”

He wasn’t going to humor her. He raised his staff and pressed it against her forehead, his eyes cold. “If you keep talking nonsense, I’ll send you back to town.”

She could sense the killing intent radiating from Orson, and she knew he wasn’t joking. Her shoulders trembled, and she fell silent.
Orson withdrew his staff, but he wasn’t lenient with her. He had his reasons to keep her close. Her influence and battle strength in the UJ region were useful, and he wasn’t about to let a small matter ruin the potential alliance.
But just as he thought she was intimidated, she muttered under her breath, “He’s so dangerous… He’s really dangerous… I like it… I really like it!!”
