But Su Changkong did not panic in the slightest. His eyes shone with a sharp, dazzling light. The Blade-shaped Qi Power within him hummed, crystallized into a clear, round, and unified blade-shaped state, its quality far surpassing the former, having metamorphosed into ‘Blade Gang’.
Su Changkong’s left hand formed a blade, Blade-shaped Gang Qi bursting along the veins of his arm and converging in his palm. He felt a stabbing pain transmitted from the veins and muscles of his arm – a fearsome Blade Gang that his body was almost unable to withstand.

His palm had been solidified with Qi and Blood, reinforced with True Qi, harder than steel, capable of easily deforming and twisting iron men with a single slap. Yet Su Changkong’s seemingly simple Palm Blade severed all five of his fingers cleanly.

Su Changkong did not give Chai Zheng a chance to react. He condensed the Blade Gang in his right palm, his arm like a long blade executing a Horizontal Chop, attacking Chai Zheng’s waist.

Su Changkong activated the Turtle Breath Technique, with thick Turtle Breathing True Qi forming an armor over his chest. He did not dodge or flinch, preferring to trade blow for blow, his left hand’s fingers coming together, not to chop but to thrust. His fingertip, sharp as a sword, aimed for Chai Zheng’s left chest, where the heart was located.

Chai Zheng, as a peak practitioner of the Qi Blood Nine Transformation, launched a palm strike of extraordinary power. Chai Zheng knew that Su Changkong was merely a young man in his twenties, yet so incredibly powerful. Could his true identity be that of a scion from a noble family?

Chai Zheng, a man of considerable standing within the Dafeng Iron Cavalry and in fact a spy for the rebels, met his end here!

But Su Changkong’s steps came to a halt as a deep voice resounded; Hong Zhenxiang appeared in the woods with a somewhat solemn look in his eyes.

Su Changkong was somewhat startled; less than a minute had passed since Hong Zhenxiang had left to the moment he finished off Chai Zheng, but Hong Zhenxiang had already returned. Su Changkong realized he might have overestimated the effectiveness of the Chasing Soul Arrow—it hadn’t delayed Hong Zhenxiang for long at all!
Hong Zhenxiang said indifferently, “That Chasing Soul Arrow is a coward. After shooting dozens of arrows from a distance and seeing me approaching, he immediately fled without looking back. He does have some skill in Qinggong though.”
Chasing Soul Arrow and Chai Zheng were from the same faction, intending to help Chai Zheng gain time to escape by attacking Hong Zhenxiang from a distance. As he retreated, Chasing Soul Arrow fired dozens of arrows at Hong Zhenxiang, not managing to injure him at all, which greatly shocked him. Knowing he would have no chance if caught by Hong Zhenxiang, his only option was to escape with all his might.
