The Eight Desolation Fire Dragon stared hard at Lu Changsheng, feeling that this person seemed familiar.
Ah, yes, this little fellow, back when he was weak, had once used a magical treasure to summon its world projection.
“Hello.”
Lu Changsheng pretended to remain calm, forcing a faint smile.
He hadn’t expected to encounter the Eight Desolation Fire Dragon here.
The Eight Desolation Fire Dragon had been exiled to the Deep Void by the Primordial Goddess, and it was certainly not friendly toward human cultivators.
Given the terrifying strength of the Eight Desolation Fire Dragon, if it decided to act, Lu Changsheng and his group would surely perish in the underworld.
External and internal threats.
Lu Changsheng’s group was caught between the natives and the Eight Desolation Fire Dragon, stuck in a dilemma without a way out.

The elders of Guanghan Palace and Mount Taihua were utterly shocked.
The Eight Desolation Fire Dragon had been exiled before their time, yet Lu Changsheng actually knew of the dragon?

Lu Changsheng smiled bitterly.
He certainly didn’t have the ability to command a being like the Eight Desolation Fire Dragon.
Even the natives were absolutely terrified of the dragon, so one could imagine the dread it inspired.
“What should we do now?”
The group was trapped in a crossroads, their options weighed down with difficulty.
“Little brat, if you help me break the seal, I can help you deal with these flies.”
The Eight Desolation Fire Dragon suddenly spoke.
“Seal?”
Lu Changsheng hadn’t expected the Eight Desolation Fire Dragon to propose a negotiation.
It made sense though; the Eight Desolation Fire Dragon was a Dragon King-level powerhouse of the Dragon Clan. Its strength was unimaginably terrifying, on par with the great powers who founded the various Holy Lands among the Human Race. Its intellect was naturally leagues ahead of typical members of the Demon Race.
Lu Changsheng’s group noticed the enormous, flame-wreathed body of the Eight Desolation Fire Dragon, bound by nine massive iron chains that prevented its escape from the volcano.
“Hiss… What kind of material are these chains made of to withstand such extreme heat?”
The elders of Guanghan Palace couldn’t fathom the strength of the nine iron chains capable of restraining the Eight Desolation Fire Dragon.
Elder Ancestor of the Lin Clan replied, “No, these are not ordinary chains; they’re the spiritual roots of nine enormous mountain ranges transformed into chains. They’re incarnations of the Great Formation that imprison the Eight Desolation Fire Dragon. Otherwise, with the dragon’s fearsome strength, it would have broken free long ago. Why else would it remain trapped here?”
Having been exposed by the Lin Clan Elder Ancestor, the Eight Desolation Fire Dragon’s pupils flashed with a glint of brilliance: “You little brat do have some skills, to know that the chains binding me are incarnations of the Great Formation. I’ve been trapped by the Primordial Goddess here for so long—it’s high time I leave.”
“With our abilities, I fear we cannot help you break free.”
What a joke.
The Eight Desolation Fire Dragon’s strength alone was overwhelming, yet it hadn’t been able to escape the Great Formation. What merit did Lu Changsheng’s group have to unravel the seal set by the Primordial Goddess?
“Moreover, you’re a Dragon King of the Dragon Clan, infamous during the Ancient Times. Who knows how many Human Race cultivators died at your hands. If we release you, you might kill us with a mere flick of your claws. Wouldn’t that be digging our own graves?”
Lu Changsheng wasn’t easily convinced by the Eight Desolation Fire Dragon.
Indeed, while the dragon could deal with the natives, Lu Changsheng and his group could hardly rely on a former mortal foe of the Human Race.
“Exactly, we can’t release this evil dragon. Even if we perish here, it’s better than freeing it to wreak havoc across the Three Realms.”
“Then we’ll fight the natives to the death!”
The elders of Guanghan Palace and Mount Taihua Holy Land, upon hearing Lu Changsheng’s analysis, resolutely decided they’d rather perish alongside the natives than release the Eight Desolation Fire Dragon.
The dragon’s strength was far too terrifying. Having been exiled here by the Primordial Goddess, it likely harbored grudges against the Human Race. If it returned to the Immortal Realm and went on a rampage, they would become the sinners of the Three Realms.
“You brat…”
The Eight Desolation Fire Dragon suddenly became anxious.
Why did Lu Changsheng’s words carry so much weight?
If everyone followed through on Lu Changsheng’s advice and outright refused to help release the seal, then the dragon would remain trapped in the endless magma for who knew how many years before it could leave!
The Eight Desolation Fire Dragon had already had enough of this confined space.
Even the finest place would eventually vex a dragon after being stuck too long.
“You’re human cultivators; your True Qi can weaken the Great Formation. That was the Primordial Goddess’s message before she left. She said my exile to this place was my punishment. When human cultivators discovered this place, their True Qi would be able to weaken the Great Formation and grant me freedom.”
The Eight Desolation Fire Dragon no longer maintained the imposing aura it had upon appearing; instead, it seemed to be trying to ingratiate itself to Lu Changsheng’s group.
If Lu Changsheng’s group ended up perishing alongside the natives, who knew when the next group of human cultivators would discover this Ancient Star?
In the long years of its exile, only two groups of human cultivators had arrived on the Ancient Star.
The first group were the Elder Ancestors of the Su Clan, who were now trapped by the natives’ Great Formation.
The second group was Lu Changsheng’s party.
The Eight Desolation Fire Dragon had to figure out a way to persuade them no matter what.

“Could it be that billions of years ago, the Primordial Goddess foresaw all this, and so made these arrangements?”
“If this truly is the Primordial Goddess’s design, then there must be her deeper reasoning. Why not follow it and act swiftly?”
The elders, listening to the Eight Desolation Fire Dragon’s explanation, found it seemed reasonable.
If the Primordial Goddess indeed arranged this, it would explain why the dragon couldn’t escape by itself while human cultivators, with their True Qi, were capable of weakening the seal to set it free.
