Xerneas didn't care about Yu Feng's words; from all the futures he had seen so far, Asi had been drawn into these events for some reason.
"I don't believe in inescapable fate. My arrival here is the best proof."
Yu Feng didn't believe Xerneas's words about being unable to escape the constraints of fate. His presence there meant that what Xerneas said was false.
After all, he wasn't from this world before. If it weren't for escaping fate, he would have married and had children like most people, then lived a plain life of birth, old age, sickness, and death.

The light around Xerneas became increasingly dazzling, but strangely, it wasn't blinding. Yu Feng could still see Xerneas within the light.
Yu Feng felt something burning on his body. Ho-Oh's feather quietly appeared from him.
"Am I not in the Psychic space?"
Seeing Ho-Oh's feather, Yu Feng looked as if he had seen a ghost. He was clearly in the Psychic space, so why could he still see Ho-Oh's feather?
Yu Feng reached out and pinched a feather that glowed with dazzling rainbow light.
Ho-Oh's feather instantly burned into a pile of ash, and golden flames swept up Yu Feng's body. Yu Feng instinctively tried to extinguish the flames on him.
