“The extras had arrived and they had already checked into our accommodation. The main are also coming in a few minutes. I’ll update you once everyone is checked in,” Jiho said through his intercom.
Friday had finally arrived, meaning the cast and staff of ‘Code Black’ were arriving on the private island they had hired. Jiho was spearheading the arrival of everyone and made sure the main characters had the best experience.
“What about the doctors?” Chaewon PD asked, also arriving at the hotel. “I heard they ran into some kind of emergency.”
Jiho bit his lip. “There was an accident in Seoul, and they couldn’t come on time. However, they will be coming here by evening.”
Chaewon PD clicked her tongue. “We’ve already talked with them, though. Is there a lack of doctors in the country?” she muttered.
“Anyway, that’s okay. The firefighters are all here, right?” she continued.
“About that,” Jiho chuckled, scratching the back of his neck.
“What now?” Chaewon PD asked.
“Half of them had delayed flights and will also arrive at a later time.”
Chaewon cursed under her breath. “What do you mean? We need to start filming by the afternoon so we can get all the scenes done! Our time on this island is only limited.”
“I know, PD,” he muttered. “However, everything will be under our supervision, so the chances of any casualty are low.”
Chaewon PD massaged the bridge of her nose. Of course, she was used to delays and such. However, one day on this private island wasn’t cheap. Moreover, Ian and some of the actors had to attend an award show after their filming, so they truly needed to get it done during the allotted time.
“Alright,” Chaewon sighed. “Just make sure that everyone is on the site by 2 PM.”
Jiho enthusiastically nodded.
Meanwhile, Zeno had just arrived at the hotel and looked around. It was a pretty nice place, considering they were on a deserted island. They even had to take a boat for around an hour to get here.
“Ah, really,” Selina muttered, looking around the place. “I thought this was a high-budget movie. Why do four people have to be in the same room?”
Jisoo smiled at her. “We’re only going to be here for three days. We probably won’t do anything here except sleep and take a shower. We even have two bathrooms,” she enthusiastically said.
Selina clicked her tongue and placed her luggage, which was way too much for the three-day trip, to the side.
Minseok, on the other hand, was elated that he could share a room with two beautiful ladies. He already had images inside his mind, making him smirk.
However, the door suddenly opened, revealing Zeno, causing him to instantly scowl.
He had a small bag placed on one shoulder as he looked around. Their hotel room was bigger than his entire unit.
With that, he walked to the bed where Minseok was and placed his bag on the bottom bunk.
“Hey,” Minseok shouted. “That’s my bed.”
Zeno looked at him and shrugged before throwing his bag into the upper bunk bed. “You must be afraid of heights,” he inferred.
Minseok’s cheeks reddened. “I am not,” he exclaimed.
Selina looked at Zeno’s bag and frowned. “Is that all you have?”
Zeno nodded, not even looking at her. Selina clicked her tongue yet again. What was this? Why wasn’t he speaking to her like all the other men were? She would understand if he was at least a B-list actor. However, he was nothing but an extra who went viral because of a measly smile!
With that, Zeno headed outside, wanting to get a view of the area before they started filming. As he opened the door, however, what greeted him was a sight that a normal civillian would kill to have.
He heard a gasp next to him before he was pushed to the side.
Minseok and Selina were out of the door in record time with pleasing smiles on their faces. Jisoo, too, stood in front of him and bowed.
The main characters of ‘Code Black’ were walking down the hallway, smiles on their faces as they waved at the staff and the extras.
Hyunbin Lee, Risa Park, and, of course, Ian Seo.
They greeted everyone they came across with.
“Good afternoon, seniors!” Minseok enthusiastically said as they passed by.
They stopped in their tracks.
“Oh, Jisoo, is that you?” Risa asked when she saw the familiar actress.
Jisoo’s eyes widened. “You know me, ma’am?”
Risa chuckled. “Well, of course,” she said. “I watched ‘Born To Conquer You.’ It was my favorite drama last year.”
Jisoo’s cheeks reddened, and she bowed her head again.
“Oh, and aren’t you, Selina?” Hyunbin asked, chuckling as he observed the young lady. “I’ve watched your fan cams. You’re a good dancer.”
Selina smiled, feeling fulfilled as she was complimented by a veteran actor.
“And you are?” Hyunbin asked, turning to Minseok, who was already anticipating being recognized.
“We were in ‘Broken Chains of Justice,’ sir. I was your youngest colleague.”
“Ah, right,” Hyunbin chuckled. “Seokmin?”
“It’s Minseok,” he muttered.
There was some awkward silence before Hyunbin began to chuckle. “Of course. Of course,” he chuckled. “This old man’s memory isn’t the greatest.”
“You are known for being able to memorize scripts in one week, though,” Zeno suddenly said, catching their attention. So, the fact that his memory wasn’t great was definitely a lie.
Ian’s gaze focused on him, a small smile appearing on his face.
“Zeno Han, right?” Ian started off. “I knew you were getting the part when we did the cold reading together.”
Zeno pursed his lips and nodded.
“Oh, it’s you,” Hyunbin said, turning to Zeno with crossed arms. “We were on the same set, but I didn’t get around to seeing you.”
Meanwhile, Risa turned to a staff member and asked, “Who is he?”
“Zeno Han,” she responded. “He was in ‘Broken Chains of Justice,’ and became viral for a few days.”
“Oh, really?” she muttered, looking at the new actor. “I didn’t watch it. I also don’t have things like social media.”
“I heard you’re quite an actor,” Hyunbin smirked.
Zeno’s brows slightly furrowed. He didn’t have a good feeling about this old man.
“Why don’t you show us a demonstration here, hmm?”
