Just then, the door to their small room opened, and Zeno arrived. Their gazes instantly went to him, and they all wanted one thing—an explanation.
“Zeno!” Bobby exclaimed with wide eyes, holding onto his shoulders. “What happened?”
Zeno appeared unusually calm for someone whose career had just been placed in jeopardy. His co-actors couldn’t believe it. Meanwhile, Jace felt like he had played a part in his scandal—just because he insinuated their company might succeed soon.
He forgot about their jinx and how it shouldn’t be said out loud.
“Answer me, please,” Bobby said, on the verge of losing hope.
Zeno pursed his lips and shrugged. “I have no clue yet,” he said. “Let’s read it together, shall we?” he asked.
His last statement should have been nonchalant, but his excitement cracked through just a bit.
It was true he hadn’t seen the true allegations. However, it seemed to be well-curated as his meter had already decreased by 10%!
“I read something about drugs,” Sarang absentmindedly said. “Were you involved in drug trafficking?”
Zeno’s eyebrows raised in surprise. Well, that was news for him! Did Zeno Han get involved in this kind of thing in the past?
“Let’s see,” he muttered.
With that, Moby stood from the ground and went to the TV, clicking on the most popular news at the moment—which was by Pop Flop.
“These guys?” Jace muttered. “They’re always up to no good. Why are people still trusting them?”
Finally, their article was shown on the big screen, and they read it silently.

Just then, he felt Jace hold onto his collar, snapping him out of his thoughts. His eyes were red like he was the one who got into a scandal himself.
“Is this true? Are all of these true?” he exclaimed.
Zeno pursed his lips. “What do you think?” he asked, bouncing the question back. “With all of the evidence presented, do you believe it?”
Zeno was expecting him to agree. Humans were quite gullible, after all, and these people were some of the densest people he had met on Earth throughout his lives.
Jace’s expression turned serious, and he sighed, letting go of Zeno’s collar.
“I don’t,” he muttered, surprising Zeno.
The others began nodding in agreement.
Jace then looked into Zeno’s eyes with so much sincerity that Zeno felt something strange.
“It may not have been long since I knew you, but I don’t think you’re capable of doing such things.”
“You’re a good person, Zeno.”
“So please, tell us you didn’t do any of those.”
