“Are you alright, Kyle?” Ella asked with a smug grin on her face like she knew something he didn’t.
“Why are you asking?” Kyle responded with a suspicious look.
Ella didn’t pick up on this and assumed he must be exhausted.
“Nothing, nothing. I was worried, don’t just leave me without a word!” Ella warned him.
Kyle took a deep breath, he thought about telling Ella but there was too much on the line and he could easily explain to her after this ordeal was over.
He just needed to get through it first, that was the most important thing.
Ella had to refuse him and Kyle was certain that she would because there was no way she would betray Jane for her urges.
They have been through too much for a man to come between them.

“You can’t be serious! You want me to take the couch!?” Ella concluded that this was what he was trying to do.
“No, that’s not what I mean, I could use your warmth,” Kyle added but Ella could tell he was unsettled by something.

But Ella saw through the mask and knew he must have a good reason for asking to do something like this.
She wanted to suggest a hot shower but knew that Kyle must have thought about that before making this suggestion.
“F-Fine,” Ella complied, Kyle hoped that she would turn him away but this only showed him how comfortable Ella had become with him.
Kyle lay beside her and the gentle atmosphere soon became tense, Ella knew small talk would help take the edge off as she was certain it was one-sided.
It has been ages since a man has been in the same bed as her so she summed this up as anxiety.
“Say Ella, have you ever had a boyfriend before?” Kyle asked out of the blue.
“Woah! Where did that come from?” Ella responded, slightly embarrassed.
“I’m just curious,” Kyle responded, they were both on their back, looking at the ceiling.
“I wouldn’t call what I have had relationships but I would say yes, I have been committed to someone before,” Ella sighed, wondering why Kyle wanted to know such information.
“What happened?” Kyle asked, there was no judgement in his voice and this gave Ella the freedom to speak freely.
“The same old story, he was unfaithful,” Ella dismissed it but Kyle wasn’t satisfied with this response.
Cheating wasn’t a deal breaker for everyone, there was a chance that this applied to Ella as well and she summed it up this way to spare any blushes.
“Are you sure that is why?” Kyle asked but Ella paused, trying to understand what he was implying.
“Are you saying I’m lying?” Ella said and Kyle remained silent for a second before saying.
“Yes, I do… You wanted to fix him and tried your best but couldn’t… Only for him to abandon you,” Kyle gave an educated case.
The majority of girls with daddy and mommy issues oftentimes lacked the awareness and self-respect to engage in any sort of healthy relationship.
“Cheating” wasn’t a good enough reason for them to leave most of the time.
Kyle was trying to get her to think about a time in her life when she threw away her self-respect in hopes that she wouldn’t make the same mistake again.
“What is the point of this conversation?” Ella asked, turning to face him but Kyle’s eyes remained focused on the ceiling.
But it hit Ella at that moment, she knew why Kyle was being so weird and understood at that point that he had met Cleopatra.
Ella leaned in towards Kyle but she recognized the scent on his skin, it was Cleopatra.
However, Ella didn’t think that Kyle was assaulted by her, that wasn’t her first thought.
She thought that Kyle had cheated on Jane and this was why he was bringing up this conversation about her ex.
“What did you do, Kyle?” Ella whispered in his ear, she understood his behaviour was unusual but didn’t underestimate what her sister could do.
However, Kyle turned to face, placing his hand on her waist to pull her in.
“In the end, we do what’s wrong to feel right,” Kyle said, careful not to say anything to alert Cleopatra that he was giving her younger sister a hint.
“Kyle!?” Ella exclaimed but that was all she did, she didn’t try to break free.
Or at least that was what Kyle thought, Ella smacked him right in the face forcing him to hold recoil from the impact.
“Oh my God! I’m so sorry!” Ella jumped to her feet, trying to find something to help bandage his wound.
All Kyle could do at that point was smile, this response pleased him but Ella began to think he was testing her.
“It is fine, you did exactly what I hoped you’d do,” Kyle responded, clutching his reddened face.
“But now I’m curious to see if you were a man,” Kyle teased because of the force she blow-packed.
Ella chuckled, this was a ridiculous thing to imply but Kyle was a master when it came to de-escalation but this didn’t excuse him smelling like her sister.
Ella knew she could ask him all the questions she wanted to soon enough.
Kyle climbed off the bed, he was exhausted and his shirt was not in its best state so he took it off.
Ella gulped the moment she saw his body, it was a lot more defined than she thought it would be.
There was no doubt at that moment that she was attracted to Kyle but it could also be because of what her sister put in their room previously.
“I should take a shower,” Kyle said but Ella remembered she had left her panties on the rail in the bathroom.
“Wait!” Ella exclaimed, Kyle was already at the door so she tried to force her way through so she could secure the merchandise before he could see it.
Kyle was taken aback by this and she tried to force her through the door but this only resulted in worsening the situation because she was now pressed up against him.
She tried to force herself through but at this point, she was only making things worse.
“You know you could have told me you had to go?” Kyle said with a sigh but this embarrassed Ella because he implied she needed to take a shit.
“T-That’s not it you dumbass!” Ella said and for a brief second, she realized that her breasts were pushed directly into him.

Kyle sighed, this was a close call but he didn’t know if she would make good on her threats.

There was nothing about her on the internet or at least on the surface, Kyle hadn’t searched for her so he wasn’t certain.
But he knew her true identity, something that even Nakamura didn’t know and there had to be a reason why she wanted to be anonymous.
Kyle knew there had to be a way he could leverage that because if he was going to go band for band, he could outdo her in that regard so this by extension gave him the power to manipulate information.
“I will call her bluff,” Kyle thought to himself because Cleopatra had a lot more to lose than she had to gain.

A couple of hours earlier, Calista had met with Kyle’s sister or a lady who claimed to be his sister.
Calista was still questioning if she wasn’t being fooled by this lady.
She didn’t get any decent information from her apart from the picture and a few vague clues which could also just mean they were childhood friends. It was Kyle’s reaction that threw her off.
Calista wondered if she should tell Kyle about it because there was a chance that this woman had ill intentions.
