Kyle was on a date with Ella, he was surprised that she brought him somewhere so expensive.
It was easily over $1,000 to secure reservations.
Kyle would have been swooped off his feet if he didn’t have the recent experience granted to him by his system.
This would have been the best moment of his life otherwise but regardless, it was a nice gesture from Ella.
One he knew people would have a hard time reciprocating but was curious how she came into contact with such an amount of money.
He knew it was from the show but just how much was she paid?
Kyle knew not to ask her when he could simply ask Isabella, she was accountable to him.
“Don’t be afraid, eat to your heart’s content,” Ella urged him.
She wanted Kyle to eat his fill even though Kyle didn’t want to run down her bill just because he had permission to.
However, he also knew he shouldn’t eat anything too cheap or she would feel insulted for bringing him all the way here.
This was why he chose the meals that sat in the middle in terms of price range.
The waitresses were stunning but Ella noticed that Kyle didn’t once check anyone out.
This was strange, she wouldn’t hold it against him if he stole a glance or two.
He was a man and even she found herself stealing glances at them.
“He’s so weird…” Ella thought to herself as she watched Kyle eat the food in front of him with such concentration that he couldn’t register what else was going on in the world.
Ella had to look away soon after when she realized she was staring at Kyle a little too much.
“Hey Kyle…” Ella’s voice had a tone that sounded both confused and uncertain prompting Kyle to look at her with a mouth filled with lobsters.
“Is there something wrong?” Kyle questioned after swallowing it.
“No, no! I know I have said this numerous times but I don’t take what you have done for us for granted,” Ella began.
“When my parents died…” Ella stopped herself from speaking, realizing that she was about to ruin the mood.
“You know what? How are you enjoying the food!?” Ella tried to dismiss the conversation altogether. Kyle could tell that she was ready to talk about it but now wasn’t the time so he wasn’t going to push it either.
“Also… are you gay?” Ella added before Kyle could respond to her earlier set of questions.
Her eyes watched him closely to judge his reaction.
“Damn Ella, you have thanked me enough already and I’m about to make you regret bringing me here shortly as well so we’re good. The food is good but my company is better…” Kyle responded, taking a brief pause.
He wasn’t offended nor did he get defensive after she asked him that question.
“Gay? Please don’t tell me you’re trying to take me home…” Kyle responded, slowly covering his partially exposed collarbone with his shirt like a woman would do her cleavage if a man made inappropriate or suggestive comments.
Ella laughed a little too loud before clasping her mouth shut when she realized that eyes were on her.
She forgot for a second that this was a high-class restaurant but Kyle didn’t mind her reaction.
“Stop before they kick us out!” Ella composed herself before saying.
Kyle could tell she was a little embarrassed by her reaction and the fact that all eyes were on her for disrupting their peace.
“Why are you asking that question to begin with?” Kyle asked, taking a sip of his drink.
“We have been here and not once have you looked at the waitresses… Not even once,” Ella brought this to his attention.
“Why look at the waitress when I have you to look at for the night? Wouldn’t it be rude to do that?” Kyle complimented Ella and noticed the shift in her body.
She no longer knew what to do with her hands and ultimately placed them on the table.
Kyle noticed that it wasn’t necessarily what he said but the eyes that were on her.
She was an artist so it was strange that she would react this way, she should be used to performing in front of crowds.
“Does she feel like she doesn’t belong here?” Kyle thought to himself.
He could see her eyes weren’t focused but also knew that she had heard what he had said regarding her.
Kyle got up to his feet suddenly, and everyone’s attention shifted to him.
“H-Hey! What are you doing?” Ella whispered, wanting him to sit back down.
“The first five people to finish their food get $10,000,000 each,” Kyle said and the restaurant fell silent. This was a lot of money and Ella’s jaw dropped.
She knew he was rich but this was on a whole other level and the people she thought were supposedly better than her began to eat their food like it was their last supper.
Kyle nonverbally showed her that these people would forfeit their pride for the sake of money.
Kyle’s words weren’t enough to convince them but the black card he held up was.
He sat back down and looked at Ella who was still in shock by what he had just done.
“W-WHY DID YOU DO THAT!?” Ella asked in a hushed voice.
“Because they made you uncomfortable, that is all. You’re my date so your comfort is my priority…” Kyle informed her with a stern voice that surprised even her.
“He spent $50,000,000 just to make me feel comfortable?” Ella’s thoughts couldn’t comprehend this.
“Hold up! Don’t think I’m paying for the food! I’m going to run you to the ground!” Kyle reiterated with a triumphant giggle as he returned to his and Ella’s heart began to beat at a rapid pace.
She couldn’t contain her smile before responding.
“Not if I run myself into the ground first!”
“That doesn’t even make any sense,” Kyle added and both of them laughed out loud.
The only difference was that Ella no longer cared about who could hear her.
