The moment Wen Ran’s cold refusal landed, a familiar and joyous “Ranran” sounded from behind her. She turned her head in surprise and saw MO Zixuan standing a few steps behind her, staring at her intensely.
Their eyes met, but she quickly avoided his gaze and lowered her head to check her phone, only to find that the call had already ended.
