Mo Xiuchen chuckled lightly and held her even tighter: “Since you’re tired, don’t think about all those people and their affairs, just go to sleep.”
He pulled the covers up to tuck her in, dimmed the lights a bit more, then slid under the covers himself. He planted a kiss on her forehead and softly wished, “Goodnight!”
Wen Ran smiled and responded with a “Goodnight!” Not asking any further, she closed her eyes obediently and fell asleep.
